Red Wednesday is a day when the Catholic Church remembers and prays for Christians worldwide who face persecution for their faith.

It's usually on the Wednesday after the Feast of Christ the King in November. The color red symbolizes the blood of martyrs and the courage of Christ's followers.

On this day, churches and buildings are lit up in red, and people wear red to show support. Special prayers, Masses, and actions promote religious freedom and support for persecuted Christians, reminding them they're not forgotten.
