Today, the LPC Rover Scout joins the nation in commemorating the historic People Power Revolution, a powerful reminder that unity, courage, and peaceful action can shape the future of a nation.

As Rovers, we are guided by service, leadership, and love for country. The spirit of EDSA lives on when we stand for truth, uphold integrity, and work together for a better and more compassionate community.

May this day inspire us to continue being instruments of positive change, always prepared to serve and lead with honor.

𝗟𝗣𝗖 𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦

The LPC Rover Scout proudly participated as Limay Polytechnic College, in partnership with the Limay Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, successfully launched the first two days of the three-day Disaster Risk Management: Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid Training held on February 18 to 20 at the LPC Audio-Visual Room.

Led by MDRRMO Officer Jaime G. Dolatre, participants composed of students and LPC’s teaching and non-teaching staff learned essential life-saving principles to observe before, during, and after administering first aid and basic life support.

The training combined informative lectures with hands-on demonstrations, including:
• Proper use of a triangular bandage
• Correct process of performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Use of a bag-valve mask
• Introduction and application of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Participants performed return demonstrations and underwent one-on-one assessments to evaluate their competence. Those who successfully passed will receive certificates recognizing them as Certified First Aiders.

The seminar continues today with earthquake and fire drill discussions led by the Bureau of Fire Protection Limay, followed by a simulation exercise this afternoon. Evaluators from the MDRRMO, BFP, and LGU Limay will assess LPC’s preparedness based on the knowledge and skills gained throughout the seminar.

As Rover Scouts, we remain committed to the Scout motto to always be prepared, ready to respond, and equipped to serve the community in times of need.

Today, we begin the solemn season of Lent as we observe Ash Wednesday, a sacred time for reflection, repentance, and renewal.

As the ashes remind us of our humility and faith, may we embrace this Lenten journey with sincere hearts, stronger commitment, and a deeper spirit of service. Let us reflect on our actions, renew our purpose, and continue to live by the values of Scouting in every step we take.
