Following the Kumustahan sessions, our HES teachers and parents teamed up to craft individualised learner checklists in order to provide more targeted support to some of our HES learners. The co-created checklists open up opportunities and spaces for our teachers and parents to work together and be more involved in their learners’ education and development both in and out of the classroom. For the remaining weeks of the school year, our teachers and parents will be meeting each other biweekly for updates and feedbacking :)
In the coming week, we will be beginning the construction of a Reading and Eating Quarters for HES. Help us build this for our learners by donating through our channels!

To close the first leg of Project Dagyaw, our Kumustahan session participants shared their hopes for the school community and what they can all do together to turn these hopes into reality—all for a better learning and teaching experience for the students, parents, guardians, and teachers of Hilamonan ES!
We all look forward to seeing how our school community’s strengths and skills can be utilised to help our school achieve its goal 💚🧡
Help us carry the meaningful conversations and cooperation onward to Dagyaw’s Leg 2! We are still accepting donations for our upcoming activities which will help cover transportation expenses for our Leg 2 participants :)

The second Kumustahan session centered on discussing educational goals for the children as well as thinking of practices and strategies that will enable the Parents, Guardians, and Teachers guide their children and students better at home and at school. We were again joined by Sitios Pacol and Tapi-an and were also welcomed by the Parents and Guardians from Sitio Cabangahan.
The Kumustahan sessions form the first leg of Project Dagyaw which ultimately aims to further strengthen parent-teacher connection and cooperation to positively affect student learning outcomes.
Help us carry the conversations onwards! We are still accepting donations for our Kumustahan sessions which will provide coffee and snacks for our session participants :)

Last March 11, 2023, Project Dagyaw took part in the XXL Zine and Art Fair organised by the Silliman Fine Arts Department to help raise funds for the project’s ongoing and upcoming activities. With the help of those who bought our zines, art prints, and stickers (designed by our own HES students), we managed to gather Php 4,502 for our activities!
And as an update on our fundraising efforts:
As of March 27, 2023, we have raised a total of Php 20,485.52 through various fundraising efforts. We sincerely thank everyone who have supported us so far!
We still have a ways to go before reaching our target of Php 75,000. Help us meet this by donating to our project! :)

Hilamonan Elementary School (HES) teachers visited Sitios Pacol and Tapi-an to formally kick off Project Dagyaw’s Kumustahan Sessions. Parents, Guardians and Teachers all engaged in meaningful conversations focused on their respective roles and responsibilities as Parents and Guardians, and Teachers. The session also served as an opportunity for all participants to get to know one another better and see where they all fit in the teaching learning process.
The Kumustahan Sessions form the first leg of Project Dagyaw which ultimately aims to further strengthen parent-teacher connection and cooperation to positively affect student learning outcomes.
Help us keep the conversations going! We are still accepting donations for our Kumustahan Sessions which will provide our session participants coffee and snacks as they engage in conversations with one another.

Collective action starts with a conversation, so
FILL A CUP
to keep the conversations going.
By donating any amount, you can provide Hilamonan Elementary School's parents and teachers with coffee, snacks and material resources as we hold kamustahan sessions in our community.
These sessions aim to create spaces of collaboration among our parents and teachers as we work towards achieving our learning goals for our students, and our school's shared community goals.
As our cups have been filled by our parents and teachers, so should we fill theirs in return. 💚🧡 Let's help our parents and teachers achieve HES's goals together!
