Another exterior design exercise featuring a proposed two-storey house with a modern gable form and bold, clean lines that create a fresh and striking presence. Wide glass openings and a second floor balcony invite natural light and strengthen the connection to the outdoors, while natural textures, soft landscaping, and a sheltered entry add warmth and character—resulting in a home that feels modern, relaxed, and inviting.

The proposed BRT station in Muzon, Taytay, located adjacent to the G-Liner Terminal, is strategically positioned within a major transportation hub serving a high volume of daily commuters. By seamlessly integrating with existing jeepney and bus routes, the design strengthens intermodal connectivity and promotes sustainable urban mobility, benefiting commuters, local businesses, and surrounding residential communities.

This plate is my favorite out of all the plates I’ve completed this past semester, and I couldn’t have done it without Aby—my constant plate partner HAHA

Taytay, Rizal is experiencing significant urban growth, ranking as the second most populous municipality in the Philippines, with a population of over 386,000 residents based on the 2020 census. This rapid increase in population has resulted in challenges such as land scarcity and housing shortages. In response, the proposed mixed-use residential and commercial development seeks to address these issues by promoting efficient land use, long-term urban resilience, and sustainable community development.

The two-storey duplex house and two-storey detached house are designed to blend soft curves with contemporary elegance, featuring sculptural facades, expansive glass windows, and warm neutral tones. Lush greenery is seamlessly integrated through balconies and planter details, while the gently curved roofs add a distinctive, eco-inspired touch. Designed for comfort and style, these homes balance symmetry, natural light, and modern living in a refined architectural statement.

Sharing my final plate for Building Technology 5 — a proposed commercial building with a modern, layered facade. The design blends glass, textured panels, and warm wood accents, complemented by vertical greenery for a softer urban feel. The ground floor activates the street with accessible storefronts, while the upper levels offer flexible commercial spaces filled with natural light. Topping it off is a rooftop bar that adds vibrancy and a strong architectural identity to the streetscape.

The proposed Smile City Residence is a climate-resilient housing project designed to support low-income households and beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Taytay, Rizal. The design incorporates passive strategies, natural ventilation, and green spaces to enhance thermal comfort and reduce energy consumption. By prioritizing affordability, sustainability, and community well-being, the project aims to provide safe, dignified, and adaptable urban living in response to a changing climate.

The proposed Alunig Mall is part of our final plate in Design 8, entitled ALUNIG: A Proposed Mixed-Use Residential–Commercial Development in Taytay, Rizal. The mall features a contemporary tropical architectural design that integrates retail functions with a relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere. It is characterized by clean horizontal lines, warm wood-toned vertical screens, and expansive glazed surfaces, which soften the facade while providing effective passive shading and natural ventilation suited to the tropical climate.

A proposed master bedroom designed with a calm, modern aesthetic—where warm wood finishes, soft neutral tones, and minimalist lighting come together to create a cozy yet refined space. Thoughtfully planned with custom cabinetry, a sleek wardrobe, an integrated TV feature wall, and a compact study nook, balancing comfort, style, and everyday functionality.
