📌 What Is Power and Why Does It Matter?

Power plays a big role in our everyday lives—from the laws we follow, to the services we receive, to the voices we hear (or don’t hear) in society. But do we really understand what power is?

In this presentation, we’ll present the nature of power, its dimensions, types, and the consequences it has on ordinary Filipinos. Whether it’s used by leaders, institutions, or even within our homes and workplaces, power influences how decisions are made and who gets to make them.

👉 Why should we care?
Because knowing how power works helps us become more aware, more involved, and better equipped to protect our rights and contribute to positive change.

Awareness is the first step to empowerment.

What can Israel and Palestine learn from Italy and Vatican City?
The Vatican-Italy peace wasn’t about one side overpowering the other. It was about listening, acknowledging each other’s truths, and choosing a future over a fight. In the same way, Israel and Palestine — with the support of a compassionate international community — can walk a shared path toward peace. Not for politics. Not for power. But for the people — especially the Palestinians who, for generations, have longed for freedom, dignity, and the simple right to live in peace. May we all find the courage to see each other as human first.
