HERAI Team conducts System Administration Training on HERAI Portal Utilization in preparation for its full implementation
On October 30, 2024, at the College of Computing Studies, Information and Communication Technology (CCSICT), of Isabela State University, Echague Campus, Centrum Laboratory, the project team of the research program HIGHER EDUCATION RESEARCH AND INNOVATION (HERAI) conducted system administration training on how to utilize the HERAI portal to the MIS Directors from the different campuses of the University, the Project Manager of the Quality Management System (QMS), Ms. Anna Marie Bahala, and Quality Assurance Director Mr. Joseph A. Asuncion. This training was led by the project 4 leader, Mr. Jenefer P. Bermusa.
This training aimed to equip the MIS Directors of each campuses who will serve as the system administrator with necessary knowledge and skills to use the portal efficiently and effectively, and to understand the system's key features, capabilities, and process flow. Through this training, HERAI team expects that the system administrators are well-prepared to use the system effectively, contributing to smoother operations in assisting the end-users, higher productivity, and fewer issues during implementation.
The HERAI portal was set to be utilized on the first week of November for data gathering and collection of activities related to SDG 4- Quality Education: 1) Research on Early Years, 2) Lifelong Learning Measures Activities such as Access Policies, Education Outreach, Vocational Training, Public Events and Public Resources, 3) First Generation students, and 4) Graduates with Teaching Qualification. The data gathered through this portal will be used for the application of the Isabela State University for World University Ranking 2025.

Earlier today, the research group "Higher Education Research and Innovation" program headed by Dr. Edward B. Panganiban, achieved a significant milestone, bagging 2nd Place for Project 2, led by Dr. Albert A. Vinluan as the Project Leader, at the University Research In-House Review held at ISU Angadanan Campus.
On October 15, 2024, during the Pre-Agency In-house Review (Cluster Level), Project 2 bagged 1st PlaceโBest Paper, while Project 3 led by Ms. Renalyn G. Tecson, Project Leader, bagged 2nd Place- Best Paper. Both projects represented the Echague Cluster in the University Level.
This achievement reflects the team's hard work and collaboration, headed by the Project Leaders, Dr. Edward B. Panganiban, Dr. Albert A. Vinluan, Ms. Renalyn G. Tecson and Mr. Jenefer P. Bermusa. With the unwavering support and valuable effort of the University Administrators, project study leaders and staff, this achievement is remarkable.

On June 21, 2024, the Isabela State University Echague Higher Education Research and Innovation team orchestrated a pivotal Comparative Analysis Workshop at Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College. This workshop symbolized a remarkable collaborative endeavor between the two esteemed institutions, aimed at revolutionizing research practices in higher education.
This event focuses on the systematic collection of key data, a fundamental step in refining and validating research methods. members of Isabela State University, Higher Education, Research and Innovation and Ilocos Sur Polytechnic University engaged in an in-depth discussion on the latest comparative analysis techniques, highlighting diverse perspectives and innovative strategies for effective data collection.

On June 20, 2024, the Isabela State University Echague Campus Higher Education Research and Innovation team hosted a significant Comparative Analysis Workshop at University of Northern Philippines. On June 14, the Isabela State University (ISU) Higher Education Research and Innovation (HERAI) research team from ISU Echague successfully hosted an online system demonstration and user training session at the ISU Cabagan campus, catering to both the Cabagan and Palanan clusters. The event commenced with a prayer, the singing of the national anthem and the ISU hymn, all performed by Overture, setting a formal and inspiring tone.
Dr. Emerson Barcellano, Executive Officer of the ISU Cabagan cluster, delivered a warm welcome address, expressing enthusiasm and support for the initiative. Following this, Ms. Nanet Eugenio, Campus Coordinator of the Palanan Extension, presented the participants, acknowledging their commitment to enhancing their research skills and knowledge.
An insightful overview of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings and related terminologies was provided by Mr. Johnray Gallena, University Section Chief of QA and THE Impact Ranking and PQA of ISU. His presentation shed light on the significance and methodology of these rankings, equipping participants with the understanding needed to contribute effectively to ISU's standing in global higher education metrics.
The highlight of the event was the system demonstration and user training conducted by Mr. Dan Joshua Sayo, HERAI IT Technical Staff. His comprehensive training session covered the functionalities and features of the HERAI portal, ensuring that attendees were well-versed in navigating and utilizing the platform for their research and innovation activities.

Dr. Alfonso R. Simon, Cluster Executive Officer of the Ilagan Cluster, welcomed participants with his opening remarks. He emphasized the significance of the HERAI portal in streamlining research processes and fostering academic excellence.

On May 24, 2024, Isabela State University (ISU) HERAI project team hosted an Online System Demonstration and Users' training session for Cauayan Cluster, composed of Cauayan, Roxas, and San Mateo campuses, for academic and administrative personnel. The training focused on the Higher Education Research and Innovation (HERAI) Portal; a new initiative designed which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
The event commenced with an invocation and the Philippine National Anthem. Dr. Precila Delima, Executive Officer of the Cauayan Cluster, delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the significance of the training.
Dr. Rosalie Leal, Campus Administrator of ISU San Mateo, presented the participants from the three campuses, emphasizing the collaborative spirit and shared commitment to excellence.

Isabela, Philippines - May 9, 2024 - Isabela State University (ISU) and Philippine Normal University-North Luzon (PNU-NL) are celebrating a major milestone in their partnership as they wrap up a successful users' training session at PNU Alicia Campus. This session, which concluded today, represents a significant step forward in implementing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between the two esteemed institutions on April 16, 2024.
The users' training, held on May 9, 2024, was a tangible effort by both ISU and PNU-NL to put the collaborative agreement into action. By hosting the training directly at PNU-NL's campus, the institutions demonstrated their dedication to inclusivity and knowledge dissemination, ensuring easy access to resources for faculty, researchers, and staff members.
Throughout the training session, participants were engaged in hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and discussions aimed at exploring the functionalities of the Higher Education Research and Innovation portal. These activities provided valuable insights into how the portal can be effectively utilized within PNU-NL's academic and research landscape.
