🌸 BANTAY BUNTIS 2025: LAB U ‘NAY!

November 19,2025. The Burgos Rural Health Unit and Birthing Center headed by DR. MARICEL S. SALAMIDA- MHO, with the support of Local Government Unit of Burgos headed by HON. KERVIN FRANCIS G. UY-Municipal Mayor, in partnership with the Integrated Provincial Health Office of Isabela proudly conducted the Bantay Buntis 2025 with the theme:LAB U ‘NAY! - "Libre At Dekalidad na Buntis Serbis sa UHC Nakaagapay At Yaman ang Buhay!" at Burgos Cultural Center, San Antonino, Burgos, Isabela, this activity ensure that every pregnant mother receives the proper care, guidance, and support she deserves.

Monthly Regional Nutrition Shepherding Team Deployment in Aurora and Burgos, Isabela.
NO II John Nestor Ballad visited MNC Aurora and Burgos Isabela to assess the nutrition program implementation in the municipality based on the MELLPI Pro tool by the PNET of Isabela.
Improvements have been noted since the RNST deployment in the municipality.
For municipality of Aurora they have already appointed a full fledge and full time Nutrition Officer and established a separate Nutrition Office. This year the municipality plan to roll out various trainings to strengthen their nutrition stakeholders.
For municipality of Burgos, it was reiterated to ensure the appointment of nutrition officer to man the nutrition program in the locality. Various policies and resolutions were also noted to be adopted by the municipal council. The suggestions were noted and the region will continue to assist the municipalities to ensure implementation of nutrition programs in the locality.

The Local Government Unit of Burgos headed by HON. KERVIN FRANCIS G. UY (Municipal Mayor) and HON. MAY ANGELA UY-HUANG (SB ON HEALTH) together with the Burgos Rural Health Unit and Birthing Center headed by DR. MARICEL S. SALAMIDA (MNAO/MHO) together with Ma'am MARIA MAGDALENA A. DUCO, RN (Nutrition officer) proudly celebrated the culmination of the 51st Nutrition Month 2025!

👏 We thank all barangays, health workers, partners, stakeholders and ISU-ILAGAN who actively participated and contributed to the success of this year’s activities — from nutrition education, gulayan contests, Nutri-cooking contest,TIANGGE sa RHU Food stalls for Nutritious Food (highest sales) , Distribution of MNP, RUSF and RUTF to malnourised Children, prenatal and dental check-ups, to our culminating activities.

2025 Operation Timbang (OPT) Plus na! 😀
Inaanyayahan lahat ng mga magulang at tagapag-alaga ng mga batang may edad 0-59 months old na makilahok sa taunang pagtitimbang at pagsukat ng haba o tangkad ng mga chikiting upang matukoy ang kanilang nutritional status.
Ang ating mga OPT Plus teams na binubuo ng mga midwives, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, at Barangay Health Workers ay muling mag-iikot sa mga barangay ngayong Enero hanggang Marso.
