One thing I wish I understood earlier in life is this:

Not everyone who leaves is a loss.

There were people I thought would stay forever. Friends who drifted away. Opportunities that disappeared. Plans that didn’t work out the way I expected.

At that time, I felt disappointed. I questioned why certain doors closed.

But at 64, looking back, I can honestly say that some of those closed doors protected me from taking the wrong path.

Some people left to make room for better relationships. Some opportunities ended so new ones could begin.

Today, I’m grateful not only for what stayed in my life—but also for what didn’t.

Because every chapter, whether joyful or painful, helped shape the person I am becoming.

🙏 Life Lesson: Sometimes the blessings you thank God for today are the same things you once asked Him to remove your pain from.

If you’re going through a season of loss, trust that life may be making space for something better.

💬 Question: Looking back, what disappointment eventually became a blessing in disguise?
