Sometimes people only value you when it benefits them. And when you stop overextending yourself, their true intentions become obvious.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the lesson isn’t the loss — it’s the clarity. You stop forcing connections. You stop overgiving. You start choosing people who genuinely choose you back.

And in the end, losing them wasn’t really a loss at all. It was making space for better.
