The Central Philippine University Gender and Development (CPU-GAD) committee, in collaboration with the Review, Continuing Education, and Consultancy Center (RCECC), hosted a fun-filled and engaging 2025 Father’s Day celebration on June 19, 2025, with the theme "Pasundayag sang mga Tatay sa Central" at the Educational Media Center (EMC) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event showcased the hidden talents and unique skills of CPU faculty and staff who proudly embrace their roles as fathers.
The 2025 Father’s Day Celebration at Central Philippine University was a heartwarming, entertaining, and meaningful tribute to fatherhood. It reinforced the university’s commitment to gender equality and community spirit, impacting the CPU campus and beyond.
The CPU-GAD Committee, together with RCECC, sincerely expressed gratitude and appreciation to the administrators, led by Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, university president, and the vice presidents, for providing unwavering support to the success of the celebration.
The esteemed judges were greatly appreciated for their time and valuable contributions: Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy (Chief Judge, University President), Dr. Stella G. Fernandez (Dean, College of Arts and Sciences), Ms. Charissa G. Deocampo (University Registrar), Prof. Janet Paco (Principal, University Elementary), and Prof. Ernie Saquibal (GAD Committee Member).
Lastly, thank you to all the amazing DADs of Central for actively participating and making the event even more special with their enthusiasm and presence. Indeed, it was an afternoon filled with fun, excitement, and prizes! Prof. Rhys B. Camacho served as the master of ceremonies.

The Central Philippine University-Gender and Development (CPU-GAD) and the Review, Continuing Education, and Consultancy Center (RCCEC), are excited to invite you to a special Father’s Day Celebration on June 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Educational Media Center (EMC).
With the theme “Pasundayag sang mga Tatay sa Central,” this special event aims to honor and recognize the invaluable role of all amazing dads, papas, and tatays in CENTRAL! The highlight of the occasion is the Talent and Skills Showcase of all participants.

For the Talent and Skills Showcase Presentation: Please form a group. Each group may consist of 4 to 8 members, whether from the same or different units or departments. The CPU-GAD Committee will only consider five groups on a first-come, first-served basis. If your group is interested in participating, please register as soon as possible to secure your spot!

The sessions were led by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮-𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇, 𝗥𝗦𝗪, 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗜 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗦𝗪𝗗𝗢-𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗼, 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, who highlighted the importance of positive parenting and provided an overview of DSWD’s support programs for women and vulnerable communities.🎤👩⚖️👏

🗣️ Each talk wrapped up with an open forum, sparking meaningful conversations and community engagement. A certificate and token of appreciation were also given to our guest speaker. 🏅🎁

It is with great pleasure to share a recent seminar-workshop on Gender and Development Orientation for academic and non-academic unit heads held on November 12, 2024, at the Henry Luce III Library Conference Room, Central Philippine University. The resource speaker was 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐀. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, Director of the Gender Center of Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U).
The said event was spearheaded by 𝐂𝐏𝐔 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, chaired by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐭 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐫 𝐂. 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 in collaboration with the 𝐂𝐏𝐔 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐂), headed by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐌𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫. The event was filled with valuable information and significant insights that foster awareness in realizing the full potential of both men and women in creating a gender-sensitive and gender-fair society.
