AJ Raval, Aljur Abrenica have two kids, Jeric Raval confirms

Jeric Raval has confirmed what his daughter AJ Raval and her partner Aljur Abrenica had repeatedly denied — that he is already a grandfather of two, courtesy of them.

Raval made the revelation during a press interview at the victory party of “Mamay: A Journey to Greatness” on Saturday, August 23, in Quezon City. The film earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 73rd FAMAS held a day earlier at the Manila Hotel.

The actor, who has 15 grandchildren in total, shared that AJ and Abrenica are already raising two children together, a boy and a girl. He even disclosed that their eldest, whom he fondly calls “Al Junior,” bears a strong resemblance to him.

"Babae (at) lalaki, dalawa na. Tawag ko (sa lalaking apo), Al Junior,” Raval told the entertainment press, including Bandera, as he emphasized that Abrenica is the father. He added that the boy is now 1 year and 2 months old, and the young girl is 9 months old.

In August 2024, AJ and Abrenica both denied claims that they welcomed a child, telling journalist Julius Babao that there was no truth to the rumors.

“First of all, I don’t get pregnant every year. It’s like I’m pregnant once a year […] If I were to get pregnant now, I would be the happiest person in the world,” AJ said at the time.

Abrenica likewise denied the reports, reacting to viral social media posts that showed him and AJ with a young girl.

Aside from his children with AJ, Abrenica is also a father of two sons from his previous marriage with actress Kylie Padilla.

Abrenica and Padilla announced their separation in July 2021, and Raval was alleged to be third party. However, Padilla clarified in March 2023 that Raval was not a mistress and urged everyone to stop bashing her.

As of writing, AJ and Abrenica have yet to confirm or comment on Jeric’s revelation.
