A Busy Day at Salaban Elementary School: Celebrating National Reading Month and Filipino Values Month

November 22, 2024, was a vibrant and eventful day at Salaban Elementary School as the entire community came together to celebrate two meaningful occasions: National Reading Month with the theme " : Empowering Minds of Matatag Learners thru Literacy and Joy of Reading", and Filipino Values Month with the theme "Magandang Kaugaliang Pilipino: Isabuhay at Pagyamanin Tungo sa Matiwasay at Maunlad na Kinabukasan."

The day began with an energetic opening program, where students and teachers filled the school grounds with excitement. The school head, ma'am Olivia B. Morales, welcomed everyone with inspiring words about the importance of literacy and living out Filipino values in daily life.

Learners from different grade levels showcased their creativity and love for reading through various activities. Younger learners dressed up as their favorite book characters, parading around the campus with proud smiles. Meanwhile, older learners participated in storytelling contests, reading marathons, and a poster-making that tested their knowledge of Filipino literature and values.

To celebrate Filipino Values Month, each class prepared presentations that depicted magandang kaugalian like paggalang sa nakatatanda, bayanihan, and katapatan. The performances not only entertained but also reminded everyone of the timeless principles that define Filipino identity.

Salaban Elementary School's celebration was a beautiful reminder that through reading and embodying positive values, young minds can be empowered to shape a brighter and more meaningful future.

On behalf of Salaban Elementary School, we extend our heartfelt thanks Nurse Christian Harina for your initiative in conducting the deworming program for our learners today, November 7, 2024. Your dedication and care for the well-being of our students are truly appreciated.

Deworming is essential in supporting our learners' health, growth, and academic performance. By eliminating parasitic worms, we help improve their nutrient absorption, prevent anemia, and reduce absenteeism due to illness. Your efforts contribute significantly to creating a healthier environment where our students can focus, learn, and thrive.

Thank you once again for your commitment to the health and wellness of our school community.
