SMAGI Bags Best Performing School–Third Runner-Up at PAPSATSI National Children’s and Youth Congress

St. Mary The Anawim Of God Institute (SMAGI) earned the distinction of Best Performing School–Third Runner-Up during the Joint PAPSATSI National Children’s and Youth Congress 2025–2026, held on November 27–29, 2025 in Baguio City, Philippines.

SMAGI Clinches Back-to-Back Championship at PAPSATSI Children’s and Youth Congress in Baguio City

St. Mary The Anawim Of God Institute (SMAGI) earned another milestone after securing a back-to-back championship at the Philippine Association of Private Schools, Administrators, Teachers, and Students Inc. (PAPSATSI) National Children’s and Youth Congress with the theme: "Empowered To Lead. Inspired To Protect. The Filipino Child and Youth in Action", held in Baguio City, Philippines.

The annual congress, organized by the Philippine Association of Private Schools, Administrators, Teachers, and Students (PAPSATSI), gathered students from across the country to compete in various academic, cultural, and creative categories. SMAGI dominated several key events, allowing the school to once again take home the championship title.

Baguio City, Philippines — Raia Ysabelle Sepaya and Kal Gabriel Asparin of St. Mary The Anawim Of God Institute (SMAGI) were officially crowned as Junior National PAPSATSI 2025–2026 during the Philippine Association of Private Schools, Administrators, Teachers, and Student Inc. (PAPSATSI) Joint National Children’s and Youth Congress 2025–2026 with the theme: “Empowered to Lead, Inspired to Protect: The Filipino Child and Youth in Action” held in Baguio City, Philippines.

The prestigious event gathered young leaders and talents from different regions across the Philippines, showcasing excellence, confidence, and advocacy among children and youth participants. Sepaya and Asparin stood out in various segments of the competition, earning them the national titles and bringing pride to their school and community.

SMAGI Joins 2025 Iloilo Provincial Boy Scouts Jamboree

Sara, Iloilo, Philippines - The St. Mary The Anawim Of God Institute (SMAGI) proudly participated in the Iloilo Provincial Boy Scouts Jamboree 2025 held in Sara, Iloilo, Philippines. The event gathered Scouts from different schools and council across the province for a week of fun, learning, and camaraderie.

Guided by Sir Norberto Garcia and Sir Rene Nabuab, the SMAGI Scouts showcased their teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm throughout the jamboree activities. The participation of the school highlighted its continuous support for the Scouting movement, which aims to develop leadership, responsibility, and community service among the youth.

The SMAGI family also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the supportive parents of all participants, especially to the Balida Family, for their unwavering support and encouragement.

SMAGI Conducts Earthquake Drill in Coordination with Concepcion MDRRMO, BFP, and PNP

To ensure the safety and preparedness of its students and staff, Saint Mary The Anawim Of God Institute (SMAGI) conducted an earthquake drill in collaboration with the Concepcion Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Concepcion, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Concepcion.

The drill was led by Sir Jhon Bryan Gabayeron, Head of the Concepcion MDRRMO, together with Sir Joselito Bales, Head of BFP Concepcion, and Sir Samuel Vipinosa, Chief of Police of PNP Concepcion together with the Criminology Interns of NISU Sara Campus.

During the activity, students and personnel practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique and participated in simulated evacuation procedures. The event aimed to raise awareness and strengthen the school community’s readiness in responding to earthquake emergencies.

Through this joint effort, SMAGI continues to promote disaster preparedness and safety among its learners, ensuring that everyone is equipped with the right knowledge and actions during natural calamities.

SMAGI Shines at Regional PRISAAP 2025
Champions in Dance, Music, and Literary Arts

St. Mary The Anawim Of God Institute (SMAGI) proudly showcased its excellence in the Arts at the Regional PRISAAP 2025, earning top honors across multiple categories including dance, music and writing.

The school's Stylized Folkdance team was crowned Regional Champion, impressing judges with a vibrant and culturally rich performance. The winning routine was brought to life under the rigorous training of Gray Balsamo, Coached by Jan V. Lamigo, Costume Designer: Jim Pendon and Rodelia Diaz added flair wit intricate, eye-catching attire, while Jerica Obillos perfected each performer's look with expert hair and make up styling. The team also extends heartfelt thanks to their proud parents for their unwavering support.

In the Hip-Hop category, SMAGI also claimed the Championship Title, thanks to the dynamic choreography and passion led by their trainers Renzel Belluga and Rejay Gomez, alongside coaches, Joycee S. Argenio and Joana Marie Buenafe. Their high energy-routine stood out as a crowd favorite and a powerful display of unity and skill.

Beyond the stage, SMAGI also excelled in the literary arts, where Eunnah Alexia Tienda was recognized as the Most promising Writer in English Essay, as a testament to her creativity and expressive talent.

In the music category, John Marlon Manderico earned 2nd Runner-Up in vocal Solo delivering a heartfelt and captivating performance. Meanwhile, the Vocal Duet of Israella Ascura and Vince Allison Maderaje, coached by Melmar Abian, impressed the audience and judges with their harmony and emotional depth.

All these achievements were made even more meaningful with the constant guidance and encouragement of the Teacher-In-Charge, Mr. Erold G. Bulaclac, whose support was instrumental throughout the entire journey.

This multi-category success marks a moment of pride for the entire SMAGI community. It reflects the school's commitment to nurturing excellence not only in academic but also in the arts and culture.

SMAGI Joins PRISAAP 2025, Bags Top Writing Awards

Iloilo City - St. Mary The Anawim Of God Institute students made their mark at the Private Schools and School Administrators' Association of the Philippines (PRISAAP) Regional Youth Congress 2025, held at Punta Villa Resort, Arevalo, Iloilo City. With the theme "Innovate, Educate. Act: Filipino Youth for a Sustainable Tomorrow", the congress gathered young leaders and writers from across the region to celebrate creativity, intellect, and environmental awareness.

SMAGI proudly brought home accolades from the prestigious event. Sabrena Vien Divinagracia (Grade 7) emerged as the Champion in Poem Writing (Filipino), captivating judges with her poignant and powerful verses that reflected the congress's call for youth-led sustainability and innovation.

Meanwhile, Zoe Avril Adelaide Castillon (Grade 8 Eight) was recognized as the Most Promising Writer in the English Essay Writing category, showcasing her emerging talent and insightful perspectives on issues concerning the future of Filipino youth.

The students were under the guidance of their coach, Ma'am A***n Clarice Aldaya whose mentorship and support played a crucial role in their success.

The event served as a platform for students to express their advocacies and creative flair while networking with fellow youth delegates. SMAGI's achievements stand as a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing excellence, leadership, and socially responsible citizenship.
