YLEA 2026 Implementation

💜 Celebrating the next generation of leaders.

As part of the G.LEAD Program of JCI WoMandaue, the 2026 Youth Leadership Excellence Award (YLEA), a JCI National Program, was successfully implemented last June 1, 2026, at Bagong Pilipinas, our venue partner.

The program recognized and celebrated 85 youth leaders from 22 public schools in Mandaue City through the support and collaboration of the Department of Education – Mandaue City Division.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bianito A. Dagatan, EdD, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent; Mr. Mark Carlo Seno, Senior Education Program Specialist for the Human Resource Development Unit; and Mr. Kevin Maringuran, Youth Formation Division Focal Person, for their unwavering support and commitment to youth leadership development.

Prior to the awarding ceremony, a leadership session entitled “Lead Now: Realign, Reset & Renew” was conducted last April 30 by 2026 JCI WoMandaue President Glaiza Ilagan in partnership with UC Cares Banilad, inspiring student leaders from public schools across Mandaue City to lead with purpose, resilience, and impact.

As part of the G.LEAD Prograof JCI WoMandaue, Prof. Gleanzzy Reyes-Maceda, Psychology Professor from the University of San Carlos, facilitated a Mental Health Awareness and Resilience Workshop for youth leaders in Mandaue City last April 30, 2026.

Through meaningful discussions and practical insights, participants gained valuable knowledge on mental wellness, self-awareness, and resilience—empowering them to lead with confidence, strength, and purpose.

In celebration of 𝐉𝐂𝐈 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟒, we proudly rolled out our flagship program under 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 — 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬📚🚐

For our 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, we continued our shared mission of bringing storytelling, reading, and meaningful engagement to communities—sparking imagination, strengthening connections, and nurturing a deeper love for reading, one stop at a time. 💜

This journey brought us to 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮, where we shared stories, laughter, and learning moments with the children of the community.

JCI WoMandaue successfully held Cinema of Hope: The Devil Wears Prada 2, bringing together movie lovers, partners, and supporters for an unforgettable evening in support of community initiatives.

More than just a movie screening, the event served as a reminder that when people come together for a shared cause, even a simple night at the cinema can create meaningful impact and hope for others.

Stories on Wheels rolled into 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟑 in a heartfelt celebration of 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲, sharing stories that honor the strength, love, and quiet sacrifices of fathers.

Featured was the touching storytelling titled “𝐀𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐲,” a father-and-son journey where the bugsay (oar) symbolizes guidance, direction, and steady love through life’s waves. It reflected how fathers may not always lead with words, but with presence—silently steering their children toward purpose and resilience.

A meaningful reminder that behind every strong child is a father who once held the oar with faith and love.

JCI WoMandaue successfully conducted From Desk to Dinner, a masterclass designed to help modern working women elevate their personal style and confidence through practical makeup and styling techniques.

Held at SM J Mall Atrium, the event brought together inspiring women eager to learn how to transition seamlessly from professional settings to evening engagements while embracing their unique beauty and presence.

A heartfelt thank you to our expert speakers, Josei Ouano Cuizon and Kian Valencia, for sharing valuable insights, beauty tips, and style secrets that empowered participants to put their best foot forward.

Together, we continue to create spaces where women can grow, learn, and thrive with confidence and grace.

It reminded everyone that home is not just a place, but a mother’s love that stays, shelters, and nurtures no matter how slow or difficult the journey may be.
