Stitching Futures! This January, we celebrate Philippine Tropical Fabrics Month. For the 2025 KATHABI Textile Innovation Show, representing the Visayas, we worked with poly pineapple and saluyot barong in Adoratio: Bloom of Devotion, a collaborative project with DOST–PTRI. Led by DOST–PTRI, this month-long observance honors the country’s diverse textile heritage while advancing research, innovation, and the global promotion of Philippine tropical fabrics.
This celebration also marks the 59th Founding Anniversary of the DOST–Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), championing Filipino creativity, cultural heritage, and sustainable livelihoods through textile innovation.
