𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Polytechnic College of Botolan successfully concluded its National Book Week celebration with a meaningful awarding ceremony held on Monday, December 01, 2025, immediately after the flag ceremony. The event gathered students, faculty members, and administrators as the college recognized the outstanding winners from both the IEd and ICS Departments.
The awarding was led by Ms. Kiezel A. Badua, College Librarian and overall head of the National Book Week activities together with Dr. Mary Grace S. Manangan, College President. Ms. Kiezel expressed her appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to promoting a culture of reading and literary expression within the campus.
Earlier in the week, PCB officially opened the celebration with a vibrant storytelling competition exclusive to the IEd Department. Students showcased their literacy skills, confidence, and artistic expression through selected story readings and performances. The activity set the tone for a week filled with literature-inspired creativity.
Several department-wide contests followed, including the Mobile Photography Contest, Bookmark Design Contest, and Essay Writing Contest. These events aimed to encourage students to explore diverse forms of literary and artistic engagement, allowing them to interpret the essence of National Book Week through their own talents and perspectives.
During the Monday awarding ceremony, winners from both departments were honored for their exceptional works. Applause and cheers filled the gymnasium as students received certificates and tokens, celebrating not just their achievements but also their passion for storytelling and creativity.

"Why does every student need Learning and Information Centers in their life? Every kid and most especially adults need to have the basic skill and ability to read and comprehend what they are reading. The Polytechnic College of Botolan's Library is perfect for this description. In the picture attached, the subject is Ms. Jonah Dullas, who modelled how books are very important for knowledge. Sean Benedict Herrera and Jashie Mae Gutierrez, who captured the photo, hopes to share the importance of these centers and not to neglect them or take them for granted."
