The Department of Trade and Industry - Batangas Consumer Protection Division is conducting a survey to gather information from businesses and consumers regarding the fire extinguishers they are currently using.

This initiative aims to help us determine whether the fire extinguishers in the market- and those being used by establishments - carry the required Philippine Standard (PS) License. Ensuring that your fire extinguisher is certified, compliant, and safe is a crucial step in protecting lives and property.

Why this matters:
✔ PS-certified fire extinguishers meet safety and performance standards
✔ Certified products help ensure proper function during emergencies
✔ Consumers and MSMEs deserve protection from substandard and unsafe products

As part of our advocacy this Fire Prevention Month, we encourage everyone to participate in this short survey. Your responses will help DTI strengthen market monitoring and consumer protection efforts.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 26-01, Series of 2026, the DTI-Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS) announces the updated List of Products Under Mandatory Certification as of 19 February 2026, covering 113 products under the BPS Mandatory Product Certification Schemes.

For guidance and compliance, stakeholders are advised to refer to the complete list and its corresponding product coverage.

Tandaan: Ang bagong iskedyul ay hindi sakop ang mga kawani ng LDRRMO, TMG, OMHO, OMSWDO, at MENRO – Solid Waste Collectors, na magpapatuloy sa kanilang regular na tungkulin.
