April 7, 2026 — A second-year Civil Engineering student of the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) has brought pride to the institution after emerging as the winner of the CLAFRREDN Logo Making Contest.

Gian Carlo A. Amansec secured the top spot with a design recognized for effectively capturing the vision and identity of the Central Luzon Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research and Extension for Development Network (CLAFRREDN).

The recognition was formally conveyed to the College through the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office III, affirming Amansec’s winning entry and commending the creativity and effort demonstrated in the competition.

Amansec continues to build an impressive track record in the field of visual arts. In November 2025, he earned a gold medal in the CAASUC Region III Poster Making Contest and is set to represent the region at the National Culture and the Arts Festival at West Visayas State University in Iloilo this April 8-11.

His achievement highlights not only individual excellence but also the growing presence of ASCOT students in regional creative platforms.
