Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) never fails to generously share their bamboo resources, especially new bamboo varieties. These bamboo propagules will be planted in our bambusetum. Bambusetum plays an important role in conserving the genetic diversity of bamboo species. It serves as a valuable resource for research, breeding, and sustainable production. By preserving different bamboo species, we ensure the availability of high-quality planting materials for plantation establishment and for environmental sustainability.

Showcasing its capabilities in addressing environmental problems, the Hiraya Team of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) won in the Agro-Eco Foresight competition organized by the Agro Eco Universum Club based in Hong Kong.
Composed of junior and senior college students of the MMSU College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development (CAFSD), the team tied with its competitor from the Vietnam National University of Science (VNUS) during the final match held online on April 22.
In the final game, the MMSU and VNUS teams provided long- and short-term solutions for the โpink-jellyโ color in animal drinking ponds. Their entries were evaluated by the Board of Juries composed of experts in the field of agriculture, environment and natural resources.
According to Dr. Charlie Batin, one of the coaches, the competition became intense, and both teams earned an equal number of points from the jury. The lone winner could not be decided, thus, the two were declared as co-champions.
