Through the initiative of Ma’am Marilou B. Lorenzana, Head Teacher I of the Mathematics Department of Sto. Domingo National High School, the school took a bold step beyond its comfort zone by joining the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PhIMO) Heat Round (online) this year.

It was the school’s first time to participate in an international competition, and we are proud to share that all nine participants brought home awards—seven Merit Awards and two Bronze Awards. The Bronze Awardees were Reiven Zymon Belgica, Math Club President (Secondary 3 category), and Aaron Dave Mendina (Senior Secondary category).

Both advanced to the PhIMO Final Round held in Cebu City last September 19–21, 2025, accompanied by their families, teachers, friends, and our supportive school head, Ma’am Ellen B. Abarientos, who personally dedicated her time and effort to be with the delegates throughout the event. On September 21, during the awarding ceremony, our two representatives once again made the school proud by earning Bronze Medals.

This marks a historic milestone for Sto. Domingo National High School—not only our first international competition, but also our first international awards.

We wholeheartedly congratulate Reiven Zymon Belgica and Aaron Dave Mendina for their outstanding achievement, as well as all our participants for bringing honor to Sto. Domingo National High School. Your dedication, perseverance, and excellence have set a remarkable example and paved the way for future generations of learners to dream bigger and aim higher.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to all teachers, friends, families, and government officials who opened their hearts and shared their blessings to support our delegates in their journey to Cebu City. Your generosity and love made this historic milestone possible, and our school will always treasure your kindness.

The order of performances is shown in the photo.

The Music Video of each group will be shown before the live performance except for the finalist from Grade 10-Mendel since they do not have a music video; hence they will proceed immediately to the live performance. Each group has a maximum of 6 minutes in performing their jingle, which includes the entrance and exit. The 6-minute timer will start right after the music video has shown.
