Matapos ng ilang personal na pagbisita nina President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., DOE Secretary Sharon S. Garin, at NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda, natugunan kaagad ang nangyaring paulit-ulit na power interruptions sa isla. Ngayong araw, sa isang switch-on activity ng bagong diesel power plants na may kabuuang kapasidad na 17.8MW, personal nilang ibinalita na may liwanag muling maaasahan ang bawat bahay at negosyo sa Siquijor.

As of today, the gensets have been fully installed on-site. Our team is currently completing the final cable terminations, with full energization of the plant’s capacity expected within the day. This marks a significant milestone in our emergency mobilization efforts to stabilize power supply on Siquijor Island.

We remain committed to supporting the island’s energy needs and appreciate the continued cooperation of all stakeholders involved.
