That's a wrap! I recently guided 22 travelers on a 14-day, 2,629-mile journey from Tahiti to Easter Island. Along the way, we visited some of the most remote islands in the South Pacific, including Pitcairn Island, home to the descendants of the HMS Bounty mutineers.

It's great to be back in Polynesia, this time on my 8th voyage to the South Seas. I'm guiding a group of 22 adults on an expedition-style cruise from Tahiti to Easter Island. Along the way, we'll visit a remote coral atoll and the "mystery islands" of Mangareva, Pitcairn, and Easter Island.
After the long voyage, we finally made it to Tahiti, French Polynesia's main hub and the largest island in the French territory. What's on the menu? A bit of relaxing at the InterContinental Resort, a 4X4 tour of Papenoo Valley with the living legend Teuai Olivier Lenoir from Iaorana Tahiti Expeditions, and a circle island tour around Tahiti Nui (Tahiti's larger "half").
On July 10, 1913, a record temperature of 134 °F (56.7 °C) was recorded in California's Death Valley. Check out one of the most interesting US National Parks, especially for desert-lovers!
