We're missing our friends, students and collaborators at SOCIAL CREATIVA. While we wait for the vaccinations to open the world back up, have a look inside our classes during our Peru2020 project.

We are so grateful that Ughetta Pratesi and Alice Oakley-Jones were able to share their knowledge and passion with our youngest students.

Our friends over at Move The World are fundraising today as part of and . This year alone they have had a huge impact on the local community in Medie - just outside of Accra in Ghana.

We are so proud of what they have achieved and we think you should go check out this post to find out how to help them along.

Today all donations are DOUBLED as part of 😍

DOUBLE THE DONATION -> DOUBLE THE IMPACT -> TRIPPLE THE SMILES

I AM CHINCHA 14/11/2020

It's been a while since we've updated you - but as you may have guessed, the pandemic means that our Peru projects are on hold. We're super sad not to be able to join the team in Chincha in 2021. Instead, we'll focus on where we can have a local impact and keep researching our artistic practises so more dance can happen

TODAY our long term collaborator Alice Oakley-Jones is teaching a contemporary ballet class in support of SOCIAL CREATIVA. Social Creativa is our partner NGO and their finances have been hard hit by the corona-pandemic.

You can tune into Alice's class at 11AM GMT and support Social Creativa. All donations from Alice's class go directly to Social Creativa. Go follow Alice on instagram at to take part in the class :)

Pssst! She also teaches on Wednesdays and we are BIG fans of her class!

It's been just over a week since we finished our 4th programme in Chincha Alta with SOCIAL CREATIVA. With our artists back at work in their home countries we are missing the Peruvian summer and all our new and old friends.

We are so grateful that Franco came along to capture some of our classes. In this class we've got our youngest dancers of the programme.

The purpose of this class is to provide a fun, uplifting environment, which shows the young dancers the foundations of how a dance class takes place. It teaches the kids to be on time, to stand in line and wait their turn as well as the basics of rythm and proprioception - all with a bit of a sparkle ;)

We are exited to support START which has been launched my MDH Artist Alice Oakley-Jones. Alice developed her idea while on the Peru2020 project and we are SO exited to see what amazing things Alice will accomplish with the platform.

If you want to support the work MDH does with SOCIAL CREATIVA you can support the first START platform in London on the 28th of March, where proceeds go to Social Creativa.

psssst: we'll be there too ;)

Our Peru2020 project has come to an end! This year we welcomed more than 100 students into our classes, shot two dance films, held a photoshoot all finishing up with 3 performances where we joined the rest of Social Creativa's summer programme and shared our work.

We work really hard to make these programmes available for our students and it's always equally joyful and sad when we get to finish our time in Chincha with happy children and proud parents.
. Although word on the streets is that we're planning something special for July! @ Chincha Alta

Week 2 of our Peru2020 programme is coming to an end. This week we've continued practising our technique in our daily classes as well as focusing on getting our students ready for our 3 performances taking place next week.

Additionally we've had a chance to talk about future projects with The National Ballet School and in true Making Dance Happen style we've arranged another video project for next week, connected with our friends at and someone may have started a new exiting venture that may involve making more dance available for more people - hint hint: it's one of us.

Here you can see some of the photos from our week one photoshoot. We think they are brilliant - don't you? @ SOCIAL CREATIVA

Our budding ballerinas at SOCIAL CREATIVA in their costumes generously donated by CAPEZIO & The Ballet Boutique 🩰🥰
We are so grateful to these two wonderful dance-wear shops for allowing every student to have a costume and supporting us in our mission providing expert dance classes in communities like Chincha. Thank you❣️
