I have a few pieces for sale. These were some of the bigger pieces left from the market weekend a few weeks ago. They have small faults, like a bubble or speck, that mean I wouldn't send them out to one of my galleries. The tallest is 420mm. If they were perfect would normally retail for $600 to $700 but I will negotiate a price based on the price on their stickers. PM or phone for details.

Christmas is just around the corner so it’s that time of year again for NZ glassworks glass market!
This year the market will be held on Saturday the 4th of December from 10am to 2pm.
Due to COVID restrictions currently at level two and it being unknown when this may change we will continue to keep in place the protocols already required for entry in to NZG. This will mean that each stall holder and shopper will have to wear a mask and stay at the 2m safe distance from each other.
They will be controlling how many people can be in the building at any one time and will have a one in one out policy when capacity is reached.
This is always a super fun day with lots of great glass to purchase. Look forward to seeing everyone on the day!

We haven't been able to get into the big studio during lockdown, so I have been firing up my mini furnace. Here are some of the results. I am rather surprised at the quality of glass I am able to produce despite the fact that I am melting my own offcuts in the furnace.

I have been working with my offcuts lately. I crushed some up and fused into a heart shape, it was terrible. I re-heated the heart, picked it up on a blowpipe and turned it into a tumbler. Much better and quite rustic looking. I have fused some more crushed offcuts into tiles and will pick up chunks to blow when I blow tomorrow. It's good to be experimenting.

A spirit bowl I have finished today. Strangely, my favourite part is the unplanned bubbles in the glass. They just seem to fit in with the river idea.

I was contacted by a lady from Christchurch who was after a pink piece. She also came and said hello during the exhibition. I can't remember who it was, can you?

It always amazes me how a piece can glow when you get the light right. This is one of the pieces in Form gallery right now. I think I will have to upgrade the lighting in my own showroom after seeing this.

We went, we saw, we sold. The exhibition at Form gallery in Christchurch is still on for a few weeks and worth a look. There are also some other amazing artists represented there. I bought myself a new treasure.
