It was a pleasure to host this group from auckland. Early morning starts and inbetween filming throughout the day. Thanks to Nicole and the team at NTT for the pleasure of working in with this project.
Big shout out to all of these lovely kiwis who have chosen us as their operator on the Whanganui Awa (River) to come do our personalized tours and sharing our history and stories of our growing up on the awa (river).
We come from a generation of Riverboat Skippers, Captains, Deckhands and families who worked in the Pipiriki Hotel.
Today our families are still living here in Pipiriki and upriver in the remote areas where our whanau (family) are still living off grid and on our whenua (land).
We are the Ahi Kaa and still being Kaitiaki on our whenua and on the awa doing what we do best and love. Appreciating you too.
Nau mai haere mai ki te awa o Whanganui.
It comes with great sadness in reading the news posts of Russell's passing.
Omg condolences to the Cullen Whanau for your big loss of such a humble man.
Russell from us and our team here in Pipiriki it was awesome to meet you.
Fly high mate and may you rest in peace.
From Whanganui River Adventures and Pipiriki Campinground team.
Go well.
Arohamai been really busy with the Tour Aotearoa Riders coming through from 1st March to now as well as with our normal day tours and day riders coming through here at Whanganui River Adventures and Pipiriki Campinground Pipiriki.
So sorry we haven't had time to post anything. Pics attached as per our Tour Aotearoa Bike Riders.
We are sadden to read news posts from Paul Kennett of Russell (pictured) as per Tour Aotearoa page. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this most vulnerable time. He was such a neat person and so full of life. That's my mask in there with him and his brother.
We have met some of the most awesome people on the TA since we first started back in 2016 (correct me if I'm wrong) and still continue to do that.
Gosh we have come along way since then.
Looking forward to the next one.
Big mihi to the Kennett Brothers (Jonathon, Simon and Paul) in what you are doing for all of us.
We appreciate you! So from our team at Whanganui River Adventures and Pipiriki Campinground thoughts are with all those riders who have had to pull out for personal reasons and mechanical etc.
Steven hope you made it to Auckland for your daughter. We also have your helmet at our office. Go well mate and hope your daughter recovers soon. Stay safe out there to all of the other awesome riders whom have been here at our office and on our Jetboats with our team.
Staying safe and ride well. Remember to enjoy the ride! We certainly have enjoyed your time with us.

Hosted these lovely people last night in our campground here in Pipiriki. The rain put a stop on their ride through the Mangapurua valley but made it down to us for their stay and then down the river road today to Rivertime Lodge for the night. Enjoy your cycle tomorrow down to Wanganui. Hope to see you again to finish off your Mountains to Sea ride through to the Bridge to Nowhere and maybe add on your canoe trip as well.
Day 3 leaving Whanganui River Adventure’s heading to Matahiwi gallery and cafe for lunch then staying the night at Rivertime. The weather has been terrible for them but they are soldering on, no e-bikes @whanganuiriveradventures
Thanks guys for coming and experiencing what we have in our neck of the woods. Was a pleasure to meet and host you on our jetboats and at our campground in Pipiriki.

Kia ora koutou!! We here at Whanganui River Adventures have updated our covid policy for the new traffic light system coming into effect on Friday 3rd December 2021. As of this date, we will be requiring everyone that visits us onsite or staying in the campground will need to present their vaccination passes on arrival. We accept everyone with 2 vaccinations and we will also accept a pre departure negative test of 72 hrs. Proof of this is required. All of our staff are fully vaccinated to keep you safe.
So with this in mind. We are still operating tours daily.
Nga mihinui kia a koutou.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be today. We had a kura from Whanganui on the Bridge to Nowhere tour today. So many happy tamariki, parents and kaiako when they arrived back. They all loved the cultural history and not too mention the 360 spins. Thank you for coming and supporting us our whanau from the awa. We appreciate you all.
Just another day in the office. Beautiful day today on the water
This is our latest creation we have added to our menu over the weekend. This is our version of the McDonald's Big Mac. Have to say this is one hearty burger. We have named it the Awa Mac!! Very tasty!!
Kia ora koutou. To let you all know that one of our villages, Hiruharama/Jerusalem along the river road is temporarily closed. Which means the convent and church are closed as well. Keeping our small and vulnerable communities safe.
We love being part of our communities including those on the Whanganui River Road. The marae at Hiruhārama/Jerusalem has temporarily closed to visitors. This includes the St Joseph's Church and Convent.
We know may riders will be dissapointed but this is to protect our whanau. We will be sure to let you know when we can welcome you back to this special place.
In the meantime, everything else is open including the Kawana Flour Mill, Matahiwi Gallery and Roadside Cabins, The Flying Fox, Whanganui River, New Zealand, Atene, the tunnel culvert and so much more...

It's been a busy but steady few days for us here at Whanganui River Adventures. We had the Fordell school students come Tuesday to do a tour and then today we had a custom tour with Forgotten World Adventures and our other boat had 7 others including 2 staff on a famil from the Ruapehu Isite going to the Bridge to Nowhere. We are quite lucky to have awesome partnerships with other businesses especially in these hard times. Some very happy clients and customers.
