This morning, I had the absolute pleasure of stepping into the world of theatre as a volunteer photographer, supporting the talented theatre directors behind an upcoming production. I can't wait when the performance hits the stage next month!

Being part of this artistic venture, I'm reminded once again of the incredible power of the arts in our community. It's not just about the final product; it's about the passion, dedication, and creativity that goes into every detail. Supporting our local arts scene is not only a joy but also a way to enrich our lives and bring people together.
, and continue to support and celebrate the incredible talent in our community.

Hello everyone
"Portraits of Women" is now open for your viewing pleasure at the Southern Cross!
You can come and check it out anytime during their regular opening hours at the Southern Cross.
The exhibition closes on the 31st of October 2021. Enjoy! Much love, Edwin

"As an artist from Venezuela, Eliecer (Edwin) Reverol enjoyed a deep connection with the vibrant colours, shapes and textures of the natural environment.
Colour and elements of nature are themes in this exhibition entitled ‘Portraits of Women’. In this collection his experiments with the Pre-Raphelite infuence of the ‘perfect idealized woman’ are on show. While that Victorian era’s characteristics promoted rich intense colours and detailed scenes of the human body escaping from contemporary society and darkness, Edwin’s take on the period (while still inspired by romantic poetry and stories) reverses the 19th century period’s characteristics. These paintings instead use light washes of gentle pastel colours and sketch-like portraits of women stylised in Pre Raphelite classical and metaphorical situations" From Richard Benge.

Tales of the Sun and the Moon. A fun art workshop I designed which included drawing, painting, writing and performing. This workshop supports working as a team and stimulating creativity... the list of benefits goes on. Thanks so much to English Language Partners Wellington for letting me work with such wonderful students.

"To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it".
