Ora 1. (verb) to be alive, well, safe, cured, recovered, healthy, fit, healed. Ora Orthotics was founded in May 2021 by Jessica Dunn.
Jessica graduated from La Trobe University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences with Masters in Clinical Orthotics and Prosthetics. She then proceeded to get her first job as a graduate orthotist across the ditch in Auckland, New Zealand for The Orthotic Centre. Working for The Orthotic Centre gave Jessica a taste for all that is orthotics, assessing a variety of clients and pathologies. Aft

Custom mask- no problem! This raptor mask was custom made using our 3D scanner for our client, to protect his nose during sport. He did not fancy another broken one! Thanks and .medical for supporting us with this unique orthosis 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It’s been a hot minute since our last post, but really excited about what’s in store this year for Ora Orthotics! Amongst a new location and Jessica back from maternity leave, we also had our first cbrace trial! Thanks Rope Neuro for the referral we are thrilled to be a part of this trial!

Some weekend mahi to set up this AFO for a client of mine. Thanks for shipping this one across The Tasman. My client is about to head on a European adventure (because we can do that again now) and will need some sturdy support for his right drop foot to navigate those cobblestone streets!

Easter Break- here at Ora Orthotics we’re taking the opportunity to have a few days off between Easter and Anzac to hop across the ditch for a much needed reunion with family and friends. The clinic will be closed from the 14th of April, opening back up on the 26th. For any urgent queries, please email them through over this period. Thanks 🐰

2021 was a bit of a roller coaster year to start a new business. Therefore Ora Orthotics is very excited to kick off 2022 with the clinic reopening today after a much needed two week holiday escape from Auckland. And what better way to begin the year than with a fitting lined up for an custom Rebound Dual knee brace. Love the pop of colour the purple liners provide!

A blue AFO for a rainy blue day. But there’s nothing to be down about here. This rigid AFO made by will aid in maintaining a client’s corrected ankle/foot position to ensure they’re more functional in their daily activities.
