Happy Birthday to the Boss! 🥳

Here’s to celebrating another year of hard work, dedication and making our dreams a reality - with the occasional well-earned 20-minute power nap!

Tom has been a real professional throughout his preparation and has done everything asked of him so far. He’s had just the one trial to prepare for his debut, so whatever he does here he will take plenty of natural improvement from.

He possesses a good sprint and with the right sort of run he should be hitting the line with purpose.

He’s an exciting horse with plenty of upside and should continue to improve with age, experience and time. We’re looking forward to seeing him take the next step tonight!

Routine Dental Care 🦷

We had a visit from our equine dentist Julian Sparks last Friday for routine six monthly check-ups on the horses who were due.

It’s the small things like regular dental care that are so important for the overall welfare of our horses. Keeping their teeth in good order can make a huge difference to how comfortably they eat, their steering and response to the bit, and even their general manners and wellbeing.

A big thank you to Julian for your skills and being a part in keeping our horses feeling and performing to their best! 🙌🏻

On a much brighter note, Our Harmony put in a very brave effort to finish third in tough conditions. Coming from back in the field, she kept battling right to the line and was rewarded with another well-deserved placing.

Two starts for two nice placings across the weekend for our small team 🙌🏻

Harmony has had a couple of little things to work through recently, so we’ve made a few changes in the hope of helping her get back to the level we know she’s capable of.

As breeding season has started, it is possibly going to be Harmony’s final race before she heads back to join the Woodlands Stud broodmare band, although sometimes the threat of retirement is just the motivation needed for a bold showing! 🤞🏼

There are a couple of firsts for her today, with it being her first standing start and her first start on the (wet) grass. She seems really bright and well, so we’ve got everything crossed for a positive showing.

Carly has enjoyed a short freshen up since her maiden win, and we’re looking forward to having her back at the races tonight 🙌🏻

The field has attracted some nice types, and there is still improvement to come from Carly, but she has been working well and if everything goes her way we’re expecting another nice run from her.

Hopefully, this is the start of an exciting campaign ahead for Carly and her connections! 🤞🏼🌟

A couple of our familiar, handsome faces arrived back at the stables this week 💙

Billy (Muscle Magic) and Paddy are our two yearling trotting colts and they have both done everything asked of them to date, so we can’t wait to see the progress they make this time in.

A big thanks to Jo at Mitchfield Park Equestrian Centre for taking great care of the boys during their spells 💛

We’ve made a few adjustments to her gear and training since her last start and are hopeful of seeing an improved performance today. She’ll need a touch of luck from the wider draw, but she’s in good hands with Seth aboard for this junior drivers event.
