The development of the Forklift Good Practice Guidelines has been a massive undertaking with out-of-the-box thinking to develop some solutions to issues that have plagued us all within the forklift industry for some time. Our next step is to work with regulators and have them formally and officially replace the ACOP. Visit https://nzfia.org.nz/about/good-practice-guideline/ for more information.

Prime Minister Chris Hipkins reveals his new Cabinet
With all the chaos that Auckland and much of the North Island are experiencing, and the ongoing heavy rain warnings, it might have been difficult to keep up to date with the new Prime Minister’s cabinet reshuffle.
While Hon Michael Wood remains the Workplace Relations and Safety Minister, he has also picked the new Minister for Auckland - moving up to number seven in the cabinet. He’ll also be working alongside Finance Minister, Hon Grant Robertson, as Associate Minister of Finance.
Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan remains the Associate Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety and Hon Peeni Henare is the new Minister for ACC.
For more information, see https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/131110270/watch-live-prime-minister-chris-hipkins-reveals-his-new-cabinet
Our job now is to ensure the Ministers are fully briefed on and aware of the industry’s issues, so watch this space.
Prime Minister Chris Hipkins reveals his new Cabinet Andrew Little loses health, Nanaia Mahuta loses local government, and a new Minister for Auckland is announced as new faces are elevated to the front bench.
Our thoughts are with our colleagues and members in the upper North Island who are really taking a weather hammering. We’re very conscious that some members’ homes and families may have been affected, along with their businesses, some of which may be doing it tough, too. So, if any member needs any kind of assistance or support, give us a call at NZFIA. We’ll see what we can do/who we can connect you to. Good luck and know we’re thinking of you. Let’s hope it’s over soon without too much more damage being done.
