Otimismo no Natal

Uma vez me perguntaram qual o sentimento que eu achava mais poderoso: o ódio ou o amor. Percebam que o ódio é barulhento, aparece todos os dias nas manchetes dos jornais, nas chamadas da televisão. O ódio, a guerra, a raiva, a violência chama a atenção da gente. Portanto, muitas vezes achamos que é o sentimento que manda no mundo. Eu discordo.

Tenho a impressão de que, para cada manchete violenta, existem mil pais que abraçaram os filhos hoje de manhã. Para cada notícia de briga entre torcidas, milhares de amigos foram juntos ao estádio. Para cada ameaça de guerra entre dois países, milhões de crianças fazem amizade em um parquinho do mundo.

Estas são notícias que normalmente não aparecem na televisão e no rádio. Hoje de manhã uma mãe fez um café com pão para o filho. Uma pai deu colo para o filho. Um cachorro e um menino viraram melhores amigos. Um ex-detento arrumou um emprego. Um casal que estava brigado fez as pazes. Um companheiro acaba de receber a notícia da liberdade.

Aprendi, nos últimos anos, que não podemos controlar o mundo. Não controlamos o que acontece lá fora, nem como as pessoas se comportam, nem se vai chover ou fazer sol. Não controlamos praticamente nada, apenas como respondemos ao que acontece no mundo. Podemos responder com raiva, frustração, egoísmo. Ou podemos responder com gratidão, boa vontade, empatia. E o mundo muda, quando a gente decide melhorar.

Eu sou um otimista. Acho que o mundo vai ser cada vez melhor, acho que as pessoas serão cada vez mais evoluídas, acho que o futuro vai ser bom. Por mais que as notícias digam o contrário e nossos medos tentem nos guiar, prefiro acreditar que somos seres bondosos, no fundo.

Acho que uma pessoa feliz é aquela que acredita em si mesma, acredita nas outras pessoas e acredita em um amanhã melhor do que hoje. O ódio pode ser barulhento e assustador, mas o amor opera silenciosamente, calmo, espalhado em lugares que ninguém está olhando. E sempre vence no final.

The Spiritist Doctrine

Every religion has a common point, that is the moral improvement of the human being.

It is known that the three pillars that sustain the Kardecist spiritism are science, philosophy and religion. With Allan Kardec we saw a focus on science that we did not see in the times of Chico Xavier, that seems like have followed in the most part by the religion path, a behavior that has expanded throughout the Brazilian country until nowadays, having many more adherents who accept the religious bias of Kardecism better than the scientific one.

We have very reliable testimonies that tell us that Chico Xavier is the reincarnation of Allan Kardec. Given Chico’s spiritual stature, clearly seen in his vast work, we have no reason to doubt it.

The change in focus could only be explained by one single reason. Moral evolution should be at a higher level by the time that scientific evolution would arrived. If the focus remained on the mediumistic experiments to prove spiritual reality, in a short time we would have direct communication everywhere and within reach of anyone. A humankind with such a low moral level, would mostly communicate with low vibrations entities, transforming the spiritist doctrine from a possible tool of evolution to a weapon of self-destruction.

And it would not make sense for Brazil, considered by the doctrine itself to be the heart of the world, as a first-rate scientific power and without the necessary moral evolution. Analyzing today, Brazil is far from being a scientific leader, nor a moral one. But Brazil has potential, and the religious dress with which spiritism has clothed itself in that country has this role, showing that the issue on which we must focus our evolution is primarily love.
