Your safety is still our top priority, so we'll continue to keep our physical distancing and hygiene practices in place, including:
- Keeping our cars disinfected
- Minimising interaction with passengers
- Avoid handling cash
Please let us know if you have any other requests, we'll endeavour to do as much as we can to help you keep safe.

COVID-19 Update from Great Lake Taxis

Given the escalating COVID-19 situation, it is important that we let you and our community know what we are doing to keep everyone safe. All drivers have tightened their cleaning and sanitising procedures including:

- Keeping our cars clean: We frequently clean the seats, door handles, seat belts, and any other key points of contact.
- Minimising interaction with passengers: All drivers will wear a mask, avoid close contact with any customers, and may ask you to sit at the back to create physical distance.
- Avoid handling money: We encourage payments via paywave where possible.

Please let us know if you have any other requests, e.g. would like doors opened for you, and we will endeavour to do as much as we can to help you.

Be careful on the road the next few days guys, the weather is going to be nasty!

A polar blast is set to hit Taupo District late this week. The MetService has forecasted strong cold southerlies to reach Taupo District Thursday and Friday with snow expected to fall on the Desert Road. Be careful how you drive and take warm clothing and food if you are travelling around the North Island.
