Sunday is just around the corner, and spots are filling fast for our FSC Weekend Family Ride! If you want to brush up on your skills, build confidence to match your kids' pace on the trails, or just enjoy an awesome Sunday afternoon out together, this is for you.

With a small 6:1 participant-to-instructor ratio, you'll get plenty of quality coaching, heaps of laughs, and some great trail games along the way.

EMPOWER YOUR KIDS ON THE TRAILS! 🛠️✨

Flat tyre? Broken chain? No worries! Let’s get your kids trail-ready and confident to fix their own bikes so the fun never has to stop. Join the crew for a hands-on, practical Bike Repair Session designed to teach young riders how to handle basic bike repairs while out on the trails.

Kids will work directly on their own bikes, gaining the confidence to fix common trailside mishaps. Plus, every child can have a parent there in support to learn right alongside them!

Here are the details:
🗓 WHEN: Tuesday, 23 June 2026

⏰ SESSION TIME: 5:45pm Arrive & set up | 6:00pm Start | 8:00pm Wrap up

📍 WHERE: FS Cycles, 2 Serlby Place, Porirua

🚴‍♂️ WHO: This is for kids! (Each child can have one supporting parent attend at no extra charge)

🎯 WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Hands-on Skills: We'll cover front & rear wheel removal and refitting, fitting & patching tubes, rejoining a broken chain, chain oiling, and essential trailside gear tuning and safety checks (axles, chain flow, and shifter adjustments).
• Gear Provided: FS Cycles will provide all of the required tools, practice tubes, repair kits, and chain and chain links for practice.
• Gear to Bring: Your child’s bike and a can-do attitude! Kids are encouraged to bring and practice with the actual tools they carry on their rides.
• The Crew: Instructors Todd Kaspers, Theo Kaspers & Dave Wallace + Assistant Instructors Rebecca Wallace, Oscar Bull & Ruben Armstrong.
• Max 3:1 Ratio: 3:1 participant-to-team ratio (Instructor and Assistant) to ensure heaps of hands-on guidance!

To our awesome community – we’ve got a quick update about our workshop pricing. For the first time since we opened our doors over four years ago, we’re adjusting our servicing prices. We've done our absolute best to hold our rates steady, but unfortunately, our costs have gone up and we can’t hold off the rising costs any longer.

To make sure we can keep giving your bikes the top-tier mechanical love and care they deserve, the following rates will take effect from 1 July 2026:

🛠 THE NEW WORKSHOP RATES:
• Bronze Service: $99 ➡️ $109
• Silver Service: $159 ➡️ $174
• Gold Service: $229 ➡️ $249
• Gold Service (inc. Pivot Bearing Replacement): $599 ➡️ $649
• Hourly Labour Rate: $100 ➡️ $110
• Fork and Shock Services will also see a small increase.
