Congratulations to Immi Virk for coming second in the Badminton Manawatu Open Women’s Singles Finals, the first NZ Tour event of 2024. She also partnered up with Donna Seo from Wellington North for Women’s Doubles at the Manawatu and Wellington North Opens, making it to the semi finals in both Opens. A great start to the season, making Counties proud. 🎉

We wanted to share the wonderful news about Phoebe, the sweet kitten who was abandoned and dumped under the Counties Manukau Badminton Association hall. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Immi and Mana, Phoebe was rescued, taken to the vet, and has now found her forever home with Immi and her family!

Phoebe, as she's now officially known, is thriving in her new environment. She is full of purrs, loves to play, and has a surprising fondness for potato chips, just like her new family. 🥰

A huge thank you to all the CMBA members who offered their support and showed concern for Phoebe's well-being. Your kindness has truly made a difference in her life.
