Hi team ! Wish I was coming to see you this year but it's my son's turn ! Looks like the weekend will be a good one too hopefully. The lodge looks so good, you have been busy.
Hi Dianne and Bruce
How for Xmas day in taupo on 25th Dec from Alan thomasen rotorua ok
Thank you Bruce and Di for your wonderful hospitality and looking after Brent and the 3 boys . They had a wonderful time . Pipers lodge is absolutely perfect for a family holiday . Comfortable accomodation, nice food , friendly atmosphere. Lovely comfy beds according to the boys plenty of activities for everyone to do . Not only have Bruce and Diane continued the family tradition of Pipers Ski Lodge they have made it even better . Cheers Brent and Lesley Piper
Last month Horahora School had their triennial Ski Camp. We stayed and Pipers Lodge in National Park and just want to let everyone know what amazing hosts Bruce and Dianne were. Bruce was so accommodating and helpful right through my planning process, nothing was too much trouble and that made it the easiest camp I have ever organised. Not only that but our meals were catered, including a full cooked breakfast each skiing morning and no-one went hungry...the meals were substantial. Bruce organised bus transport to the skifield one day at a very competitive price pp when we couldn't take our cars up due to icy conditions and we were able to hire gear on the spot. I would highly recommend this accommodation for any group or family - the rooms were clean and warm and the lounge area cosy with a large fire. We all enjoyed our stay, thanks to our wonderful hosts.
Thanks to the team at Pipers lodge, especially Bruce and Diane.
Much loved and with so much humour to share, they show kindness in these uncertain times.
Happy Birthday Bruce! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿง๐Ÿจ๐Ÿฉ

Hi, on march 8/10th 2019 we'll be at your place, I'd like to know the possibilities for the Tongariro Crossing shuttle?
Do they leave at your place to the starting point and is there a shuttle to pick us up at the end of this hike ?
Thanks, kind greetings.

Come in for a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine in front of the fire and a meal after a long day on the slopes. Book in for bed & breakfast and add an evening meal.

Bruce and I would like to take this time to tell you that we have sold the lodge. What we know is, we have owned a building for 34 years, but it has been you, our guest/friends, that have filled it with the heart, fun, and memories that we will both take with us. Thank you to all of you for the support you have shown us. It has been a life time of sharing the lodge with you all.

Brent Piper popped in for a few days, to check that the training he gave us boys 45 years ago, was still working. We got the "tick of approval"

Good morning. Quick update from us at the lodge. We are still open under level 2 with a few changes. Spa pools will not be open, and we will keep our numbers less than 100. The mountain is still open and running . For those of you who can, we look forward to seeing you. To you guys in Auckland, we feel for you. Lets hope its short and sweet.

A nice way to spend the afternoon at Pipers Lodge when the weather isn't so inviting outside. Cuppa tea by the fire. Looks like its snowing on the Mountain today. Also an update on our shuttle times, we can now offer you 7am ,8.15, 9.30, 10.45, 12.

03/07/2020

Snow's here, Lodge is here, see you here! We still have spaces left for next week so contact us. We have a new chef with a new menu, so we welcome Big Andy into the team. We have a shuttle running each day to the ski field leaving at 7am and 8.15am which should please a lot of our guests who have had trouble accessing the mountain by car...
All the best for the winter!
Team Pipers

And just like that the "goal posts " have moved ..... a LOT! What a place we all find ourselves in, it makes for a challenging time for each and every one of us. We like to think and hope that even in these unsettled times, we can find room in our lives to still take a break, and find a way to connect with our family or friends. Our doors are still open here at Pipers Lodge. This would have to be my favourite time of year to be outside, walking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The air is crisp (perfect temp for walking), the large crowds have gone, giving us a bit more space on that magnificent mountain. How about a good blast on the mountain bike along the Old Coach Road. We have made the decision to cut our capacity down to 50% to allow our guest to feel more comfortable with our shared living areas. A huge bonus is, we have PLENTY of toilet paper, lots of hot water and soap,as well as beer, and wine so all areas are covered. For the next few months we are offering you a complimentary continental breakfast (fill your boots) with your accommodation. Our hope is that you will still feel confident in coming down to our region for a well deserved break. Until then we wish you all the best, as we make our way through this as best we can.

Taken last night. If only we could get a decent go at it. !! Plenty of snow, we just need this weather to calm down so we can get amongst it.!!

14/08/2019

Finally !! After weeks of snowing we get to see the results. Stunning. See you here..

02/08/2019

We are getting great comments on the menu, thank you . I recommend the Southern Fried Chicken,( if you aren't scared of the calories) !! Also, the mountain is getting a good dumping of snow.!!

31/07/2019

As the snow is falling on the Mountain, the fire is keeping us cosy inside. Looking forward to seeing you all this winter.

04/07/2019
