Due to unforeseen circumstances, I won’t be taking any cake orders for the remainder of this year.

Hey Calkin Cake family,

I just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you for all the love, support, likes, enquiries, and shares. This past month has been such a special one for me, from finding the confidence to restart this page, to entering (and winning!) my very first cake competition 🎉 (still pinching myself!), and getting the joy of creating cakes for some truly wonderful people.

At the start of the year I set myself a goal to really put myself out there, and you have all helped make that possible. Your encouragement has boosted my confidence in ways I can’t put into words, and I’m so grateful 💕

My family and I are about to begin a new adventure, so I’ll be stepping away from cakes for just a little while. But this is definitely not goodbye, I’ll be back, and I’ll share an update once I’m baking again. Until then, take care and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this journey.

This year I set myself the challenge of entering my very first cake competition and here it is! 🌳📚🦉

After two weeks of hard work and late nights, I couldn’t be prouder of what I created. You’ll be able to see it in person at the Wellington Food Show this weekend as part of the Cake Off Competition.
