I have been busy over the last few weeks writing the next book, Horyo - The Featherston Prisoner of War Camp. I am into chapter 6 and am already at 34,000 words, several chapters to go. This is the culmination of eight years of research, it's great to finally be writing it. The full story has never been told and it's a real honor to be the one to do it. Horyo covers everything from the relations between Japan and the west after World War One, the changing situations and political environments in the 1920s and 1930s, the Pacific War, the Featherston Camp and then what happened after the camp closed, what was it used for after the war? And all the memorials and visits by former prisoners since. Launch will be at Booktown 2027, watch this space!

Its not every day that you can say you have shared the stage with the Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) Band 🙂

I have been given the honour to speak at the two concerts being given by the Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) Band at Wairarapa College on Tuesday. Should be a great show, it certaonly was last time!
