First cymbidium for 2014, this little beauty is call Cymbidium Tetsugetses, it is a miniature and has six more unopened flowers, will update when all out.
Miltonia spectabilis var moreliana
Miltonia spectabilis var moreliana, this orchid belonged to my Mum, think she would be happy to see it flowering again. Still one more flower to open.
New Flowers, always something happening
Now its time to wait for the early cymbidiums, spikes appearing on some of the mini's, still a 2month wait for the Dendrobiums.
Photos I found on a old computer archive dated 1st December 2005.
These photos taken at Iranui Road

December 10th 2013
Growing in a cabbage tree (Cordyline australis) at about 700 metres on a wind swept northern face, apart from a couple of other cabbage trees close by, no other trees or vegetation. Flowers are tiny but so delicate.
Anyone want to have a guess as to its age?
Almost the end of November, Dendrobiums and Cymbidiums flowering almost over, time to start repotting these plants now as required.
Late Spring Flowers
Have been in New Plymouth at the NZ Orchid Council National Show this weekend. Kelly, Chris and I drove over from Gissy, a long tedious trip with the temptations of fresh whitebait at Awakino, trouble is we will have to stop there for breakfast on Sunday morning!!!!
Hopefully will have lots of pics soon.
