Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in today’s Urban Rogaine, activating Grey Street! What a turnout! It was fantastic to see so many families and friends enjoying the day.

A special shout-out to William for running the hugely popular mystery activity – Disc Golf! It added a fun twist to the event, and we loved seeing everyone give it a go.

Thank you PUMA for the awesome prizes and Ray White Gisborne for the use of their deck space!

It’s set to be a fantastic evening, with kai available from 5pm and live music kicking off at 6pm. 🗓️ 4 Oct, 5pm-10pm at the 📍 GDC Carpark. 🎟️ FREE ENTRY!

🌟 Skate Park Update: Keeping an Eye On You! 🌟

Exciting news! There are now three CCTV cameras installed at the skate park, with the footage going straight to the police station. If any incidents occur, we can check the footage. Remember, we’re watching! 👀 The cameras are not a Tairāwhiti Adventure Trust initiative. They are part of the existing Gisborne Crime Prevention Camera Trust network, which has been operating for many years across Gisborne city. This community-based trust partners with the Police and other local organisations to foster safety within the community.

🛹 Vert Ramp News: The gate to the vert ramp will remain in place but will no longer be locked. However, if it’s vandalised again, it will be removed completely. Skaters, it’s up to you to be aware of the risks. PLEASE USE THIS RAMP RESPONSIBLY AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Please note that while the gate is still there, it won’t be locked, so extra care is needed. Signs are up around the vert ramp, and CCTV signs will be going up soon to remind everyone.

🛠️ The safety and condition of this ramp depend on your cooperation and care. This facility is a valuable asset to our community, and we rely on everyone to use it responsibly.

Please remember, the supervisor at the skate park is not a babysitter.
