Last public trips for this season this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday departing Gisborne Railway station 1pm. As usual tickets available form the Gisborne I-Site or at the station half an hour prior to departure. Don't forget your picnic for our hour at Muriwai plus enjoy a coffee, tea, juice or water and snacks and souvenirs from our on-board buffet car.

Sorry for this news but due to the forecast of high winds tomorrow as well as heavy rain, GCVR has cancelled Friday 27th trip. Anyone who has bought tickets can either pop down to the Gisborne I-Site to swap for Saturday 28th or Thursday 2nd January if seats are available OR ask for a refund.

Today's Open Day was a huge success with over 250 people popping into the yard to go through the train and talk to volunteers . we hope those keen ones join our organisation. We also thanked MP Dana Kirkpatrick in supporting today, shown below with our wonderful Claire Kizlink, our artist in house!!
