My first task is to find housing, and I'm wondering if any local potters may know someone in the community with an available rental. If so, please send me a message. Thank you so much! I look forward to studio time with you all!
Unfortunately we can't proceed with the preview this Friday while we are level 2, but the show will be ready to view from Saturday morning (29 August) and we hope to be able to announce an event/s later in the exhibition run.
Please come in and support our local artists. If something catches your eye it also might be a good time to ensure your Friends of Tairawhiti Museum membership is up to date and receive a 10% discount on your purchase.
I am trying to contact Dennis DeWitt. Is there anyone out there who is in contact with him? I know he lives in Tauranga but I have lost contact with him. Hope someone can help me. Cheers Melody Craw

Last year, due to covid restrictions, we didn't have an 'opening' as such. 30th July 2021... The mighty Kauri
Barry Brickell, founder of Driving Creek embarked on a rather significant conservation journey that continues today. A journey to return the land back to its early state. He planted thousands of native trees including young Kauri, totara and rimu. Upon realising he wouldnt live to see a fully grown Kauri on his property.... What does he do?????

A road trip to Driving Creek Pottery. The heart of the Driving Creek experience... Where art, conservation and engineering meet. Wow!! Huge Thanks Frederick for your awesomeness in sharing Barry's stunning back yard with us, for your teachings and for inspiring us to grow our craft!! Can't wait to return!
