WORD’s programme takes an holistic approach, focussing on not just creating great riders, but also amazing young people. It also embraces a youth-centred leadership approach, reduces barriers to participation and creates opportunities for connection.

This is having a meaningful and positive impact on their Community and providing mountain bike opportunities for the next generation🧡🚲

So awesome being able to come home for the weekend and see the impact that Surely Skate has made on those in the community. Majority of the original crew members have moved out of town so was super awesome to come back and see it still running! So many new faces and I’m so proud of every single one of you! I can’t wait to get to know you guys a little more each time I come back. I even had to have a little cry in the car on the way home because of how humbled and proud I was, so surreal watching a new generation of skaters find their confidence!! Attention Wāhine Mā! If you are in Year 9 - Year 13, Coach Tyla will be running FREE Boxfit Classes as part of our Te Hā o Hineahuone Program!

This program is for our Wāhine only, and is for Rangatahi coached by Rangatahi! They are non contact and an awesome way to make connections with other rangatahi, and also to get fit!

What's the details?

Classes are every Wednesday 4.30pm and they go for 30 mins 🙌

Just come in your activewear and bring a drink bottle, we have all the gear you need! 🥊

1st class for the term is on the 19th of October 4.30pm and classes will run each Wednesday for 9 weeks.

Slight change in the new skate park opening. Lock in October 1st, get your bearings, trucks, and bushings checked, maybe some new grip tape and let go for a ride.

Due to rain, we’re having to shuffle the opening of the skate park. The lighting is going up right now, but we need a bit more time to get a few nuts and bolts sorted. Stay tuned for some updated pics!
