An Update from Senior Associate Stephanie Woods: Product liability prosecution – make sure you have adequate coverage in place!

The Commerce Commission is active in the area of product safety, especially when it comes to products intended for children. If you’re manufacturing or importing products, it doesn’t matter how small your business operation is, you could be prosecuted if you supply unsafe products. You need to make sure you have good product liability coverage in place, including adequate coverage for product recall.
