An exciting project has just been completed in the Leigh area North Auckland - a fully customised, handcrafted tiny home built with high-quality materials and attention to detail throughout.
Canopy Construction has custom built and constructed to the NZ Building code by a qualified builder, with certified gas, plumbing, and electrical work completed.
Designed to maximise light, comfort, and views, this tiny home features extra-height double glazed windows, beautiful exposed rafter beams, spotted gum durable laminate flooring, and Redline veneer plywood wall linings. A unique handmade pendant light creates a stunning atmosphere at night, while the custom cedar detailing throughout gives the home a warm, natural feel.
The kitchen includes:
• Handmade Western Red Cedar cabinetry
• American White Oak benchtop
• Large fridge
• Full sized French oven, gas hob & rangehood
• German-made quartz sink
• Breakfast bar/study space for two
• Extensive shelving and storage
Living space features:
• Custom bifolding sofa bed with storage
• Cedar bulkhead with reading lights
• Custom TV stand and side tables
• Thermal blackout blinds
• Laundry nook with space for a 5kg washing machine
• Pull-out built-in laundry hamper
• His & hers wardrobe storage
Bathroom includes:
• Spacious 1m x 1m shower with rain head and rail head
• Handmade cedar vanity with coated bamboo tops
• Sensored LED mirror and under-vanity LED lighting
• Heated towel rail
• Unique patina corten steel splashbacks in kitchen and bathroom.
Toilet options available (none fitted):
• Standard flushing toilet
• Composting toilet
• Incinerating toilet
(Water supply already installed to wall for flushing toilet if necessary)
Sleeping loft features:
• Cozy sleeping nook that would suit a futon style bed upto a king size.
• Reading lights and charging points on both sides (USB A&C)
• Custom handmade sliding loft ladder that moves side to side, flush to wall, or pulls out for easy access to sleeping loft

• Rinnai A16 gas califont
• Covered dual LPG bottle storage with quick-change valve
• x2 double gang external power points
• External hose tap
• Western Red Cedar shiplap cladding on gable ends.
• Weathertex Weathergroove cladding down length of building. All cladding is on a cavity Vented system for optimum thermal and moisture stability.
• Corrugated roofing, flashings, downpipes and box gutters.
• Auminium extra height double glazed joinery.
•underfloor, wall and ceiling insulation.
Built using light gauge steel framing — approximately 70% lighter than timber, while remaining straighter and stronger.
The offer can include:
• Delivery to site (within range)
• Establishment on pile foundations (without trailer chassi) or with Trailer chocked and secured to ground.
• Electrical and plumbing connection to existing services if any.
