Yip! During World War II to help U.S Naval recruits improve their kicking power, kicking was seen as an essential ingredient in wartime water survival.

History tells us that Adolph Kiefer himself was an incredible aquatic enthusiast as he was awarded a gold medal at the Berlin Olympics in 1936, not to mention his time in the U.S. Navy training commanders and recruits how to swim and through that, saving countless lives in Naval battles.
