Appreciation to my girl @lauraanagel who for the past 3 years with @paulhamblyn has made the @baysathletics Night of 5s such an epic meet year after year! Even if they had to postpone it this year πŸ’ƒπŸ». This year she ran in it and took out the event the night is all about: the elite 5000m to top off one hell of a season πŸ™Œ

OLYMPIC GAMES - TOKYO 2020: NZ BLACKSTICKS β€” ALISHA LOVRICH 28/08/2021

OLYMPIC GAMES - TOKYO 2020: NZ BLACKSTICKS β€” ALISHA LOVRICH

As New Zealand is in lockdown and I am back from MIQ with a working computer, I decided to create some highlight albums of my images from the Tokyo Olympics.
First up, here is a rather large gallery of our epic Vantage Black Sticks! I had such a blast being turf side with our talented kiwis and it was a privilege capturing their Olympic games. Enjoy!

OLYMPIC GAMES - TOKYO 2020: NZ BLACKSTICKS β€” ALISHA LOVRICH I had the privilege of photographing our epic New Zealand hockey teams: The Blacksticks at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Here below is a selection of images from both our Men’s and Women’s teams from the games. Follow the team here and for full albums of my images, check my friends BW Media here.

I’m sitting at the airport just reflecting on the most whirlwind experience I just had. Throughout my entire life, two thing contributed massively to my identity: sport and art, and I just finished combining both those passions on the biggest stage possible πŸ™. In an environment with no public spectators, I felt incredibly privileged being out there, witnessing and capturing all the incredible feats performed by the worlds greatest athletes. It has also been a huge privilege photographing our New Zealand @athleticsnz and @nzblacksticks teams, and every time I stepped out onto the track/turf and all in-between, I was so incredibly proud to be a Kiwi capturing these incredible athletes and a special congratulations to our mighty @thenzteam who just did a Olympic Medal PB with a whopping 20 medals!! πŸ’ͺ
Massive thank you to all those who believed in me, and I hope you have enjoyed following my Olympic journey through my lens. I fly to two weeks in MIQ where I will have more time to go through my images and show you guys more of the magic that I’ve just witnessed + memes.
I have also had an incredible time with my friends from all over the world and making new ones, who I look forward to seeing again soon! This might have been my debut, but I feel like I belong πŸ₯°.
Arigato Tokyo. Thanks for putting on an incredible show ❀️. See you soon Aotearoa! I am looking forward to a decent flat white β˜•οΈ πŸ“Έ last one my pal @rogersedres .

It is an absolute privilege to team up with SportsWoman NZ , an organisation actively hyping and showcasing our incredible sports women we have in New Zealand πŸ™Œ.
Here is my first project with @sportswomannz , a piece about Hamilton BMX Club , the community the club has created and showing that anyone, regardless of age or gender can rip around a BMX track!

Thanks heaps to Up&Up Photography & Film for your sick drone shots, extra ground clips + soundie. Along with @jessie_smithbmx @caitlingeorgantas @nicola_mapu , Danika Bergersen and the rest of the Hamilton BMX club for putting up with me sticking a camera in their face πŸ™Œ. Also massive shout out to @sportswomannz for this opportunity.

Stay tuned for more πŸ™

Stoked to get featured in this awesome article about Gladys along side my friends ❀️. While we are outnumbered in the pits, we strive to get more and more women shooting bangers out there πŸ’ͺ

It was an absolute privilege to be involved in the Barbie Shero New Zealand movement this year with the absolutely incredible Karen Walker announced as the official Role Model for 2021, this time switching my camera to video πŸŽ₯. It is so amazing to be working with a brand like @barbie that celebrate women who are breaking boundaries, showing girls that they can be anything they want to be, aligning with my own personal values πŸ’ͺπŸ™Œ. Thanks to my friends at Two Birds Talking for bringing me on to this again, it’s been a pleasure ☺️❀️

Super excited to create content with SportsWoman NZ πŸ™Œ

EXCITING NEWS!!!β€’
.
The super talented Alisha Lovrich Photography and Design has come onboard to create video content for SportsWomanNZ!β€’
.
Alisha understands what it takes to film great sports content more than most. She ticks all the boxes ....a passion for the visual arts , a Bachelor of Graphic Design AUT - Auckland University of Technology, and an accomplished national level pole-vaulter. In recent years her skill behind the camera has seen Alisha travel the world, capturing superb images of athletes competing on the international stage.β€’
.
SportsWomanNZ couldn’t think of anyone more suited to team up with to help showcase the stories of our awesome Kiwi athletes, from grass roots participants to those competing with the famous silver fern on their chest. We’re looking forward to sharing inspiring and entertaining content with the sportswoman community and beyond.β€’
β€’
One of the goals of SportsWomanNZ is to promote the many career opportunities that exist for women to be involved with sport. Having Alisha onboard to film and edit great content, coupled with the recent appointment of Gabbie Milicich as our social media intern, is our small way of demonstrating how sport lets us all follow our passion....on and off the field!β€’
β€’
Welcome to the team Alisha!
β€’
If you’re a company or brand who is inspired by our Kiwi sportswomen, and would like to come along for the ride with us as we showcase great content, DM this page. We’d love to hear from you.β€’

While being stuck at home during lockdown, there suddenly was a time to embark on creative endeavours one usually wouldn’t have the time to do. Meet my friend Rachel. She is a science teacher by day but during the lockdown she created Sand + Stone + Clay. A business selling hand made clay jewellery, made by herself. So I caught up with Rachel to document the crafting process. Video to come!

My last series for Long Distance World is of my big sister Char Ifans (not my actual big sister but we have been neighbours for around 20 years so might as well be πŸ₯°) and her best friend / child, lil doggo Martin , who is an ultra-marathoner and a lawyer so was actually bloody busy during covid πŸ˜‚, so likes to escape to the trails for hours (literally) with her furry friend who runs for hours too! Here’s a standard NZ Bush walk featuring NZ iconic silver ferns, that is actually a 5 min drive from my house ☺️. Long Distance World is available here with a portion of proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders πŸ™Œ https://longdistance.world/

Photos from Alisha Lovrich Photography's post 27/08/2020

Next series I photographed for Long Distance World is my pal Michael Dawson , who is the current national 800m title holder plus he’s a pro photographer too so ..HA covid effected his ability to work (sounds familiar). We hit Auckland CBD and and Vaiduct Harbour on a Friday evening during Level 3 too see how eerily quiet it was, in a location that should be buzzing day and night with the cafe, restaurant and bar scene as well as all the boats that we see parked up, all out on the water. Long Distance World is out now ✌️ https://longdistance.world/

Photos from Alisha Lovrich Photography's post 26/08/2020

During NZ’s last full Level 4 lockdown my bud Notafraid2fail called me asking if I wanted to be part of this cool project of his πŸ™ˆ. So I waited for Level 3 and captured three athletes in our city during a pandemic. All shot from a social distance and even tho limit is 2, pushed for 3m + for effect by using longer focal lengths.

Here is my first series of my girl Eliza McCartney πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Obv a pro pole vaulter but unable to vault cause of covid restrictions so here we are. Parked cars, empty roads, clear waters and parked boats in Devonport on a glorious evening πŸ™Œ.

Check out http://www.longdistance.world/ to see the project: A limited edition luxury magazine publication with a portion of proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders πŸ™Œ

Creating some images for @trainingpeaks featuring @claire_bades in one of the only countries in the world that can do commercial gym photoshoots πŸ˜‚. Stay tuned ✌️. Plus Claire took a nice pic ay ☺️. Swipe for a laugh of me struggling to pack down @ AUT Millennium

Photos from Valerie Adams's post 16/07/2020

Pretty stoked to share one of the most epic projects/campaigns I have worked on 😍. Ya queen Valerie Adams is officially the Official @barbie Shero for NZ 2020 πŸ™ŒπŸ’ͺ. I think this is pretty epic to inspire young girls all over the globe they can dream to be whatever they want to be. Massive thanks also to Two Birds Talking for being a dream to work with + Cameron Graves on some sick video content (which you will see soon).

AKL XC Series #2: Long Bay 27/06/2020

So good to be back out there shooting sport! Second race of the Auckland Cross Country Series at Long Bay hosted by the mighty North Harbour Bays 😏. Been a while since I have been at a crossy race!

New website, who dis?

Something I was able to achieve doing the Level 4 and 3 lockdown was finally get around to updating my website and feature my recent work. So feel free to check it out at www.alishalovrich.com

With Level 2 just around the corner it means things will start to feel a little more normal for us. Level 2 means that myself along with most other professional photographers can resume working. For the first time in a very very long time I have a very open calendar πŸ˜‚. If you are in need of imagery or even just want a chat, let me know! I look forward to seeing all your beautiful faces again (not through a screen..)

See you soon x
