Odd sounding Marshall, so look around for something out of spec. There's a suspect resistor measuring near 600k, when it should be 100k, so out it comes. Fortunately I have a vintage old stock Piher on hand. Then it needs to be compared to another 2204 through the same cabinet. #2204
