I almost didn't talk about this publicly. But if my story helps even one woman feel less alone - it's worth it. 🌺
For the last 6–7 years I've been navigating perimenopause as a business owner, consultant, and founder - while building businesses, running events, and showing up for my community.
The hot flushes. The brain fog. The 3am wake-ups. The unexplained weight gain. The fatigue no amount of rest seemed to fix. he weekends laying on the couch after a big event or even a normal working week, completely exhausted. 🥱
And the hardest part? Navigating most of it alone.
When I went looking for support as a Pacific woman going through this - there was limited info. And no Pacific clinicians & experts talking about how this was impacting us in our work and businesses.
So I sought out support myself. I found Dr Lucy Burns- Metabolic Health and Menopause Care of Real Life Medicine at a Female Fusion Business Women's event in Auckland - she read my mind during her presentation! Especially the part about the "woodshed" 😱 Through other incredible Women's Health experts online I watched hours of podcasts, educated myself, found tips, tried things, adjusted.
Hormonal prescriptions helped - but weren't enough on their own to manage everything as a busy self-employed woman still showing up at full capacity.
In 2025 I recorded a podcast with my former Health & Fitness Coach Nina Netzler, a passionate advocate for Pacific women's health & confidence 40+, to talk openly about all of this. I've been sitting on that episode for months.
It's finally coming out as part of the Inailau AI, Productivity & Women's Wellness Series - funded by the Ministry for Pacific PeoplesMinistry for Pacific Peoples. 🌺
6 free workshops across June (5 online & 1 in-person) covering AI tools for business, managing energy & productivity, and perimenopause & menopause plus a Business Networking event with panel of experts. Supported by The Pacific Business Hub 🙏
Because our women deserve a space where this is talked about openly, honestly, and without shame. And they deserve support on using AI to stay productive during this season of life. That's the heart of this Series. 💗
Workshop 1 is this Friday 12 June 12pm.
In-person Business Women's Networking Event 26 June 11am at The Pacific Business Hub supported by Pacific Business Trust 🙏
Head to the Inailau Pacific Business Women's Network page to register & I'll drop the link in the comments 📌

I'm so excited to officially launch the Inailau AI, Productivity & Women’s Wellness Workshop Series for June 2026! ✨
The heart for creating this series was to support Business women 40+ who are navigating the challenges of peri-menopause/ menopause to stay productive in their businesses, consultancy projects and work, through AI tools which can make your life so much easier!
I was privileged and blessed to learn so much about different AI tools, and how to use them for my businesses during my time in Dubai in 2024 & 2025 - thanks to multiple AI Workshops run by Business women organizations in UAE 🇪🇭🙏
So I am so happy for Inailau Pacific Business Women's Network to now offer its first series of AI & Productivity Workshops!
I am blessed by the group of amazing Pacific Business women who have agreed to share their knowledge on the AI tools they use daily in their businesses as part of this Series! And of course, I will share some of the tips and tools, I learned about during my time in Dubai.
The peri-menopause/ menopause Workshops & Event are very personal to me - as the symptoms I have experienced have impacted me immensely professionally & personally over the last 6-7 years of my life, as a Business woman & Consultant.
Those ladies going through this stage of life know what I am talking about! The hot flushes, 3am wakeups, fatigue, unexplained weight gain (and you old diets not working), lack of productivity cuz your so dam tired, losing the passion for your work at times (again cuz your just tired), lying on the couch all weekend after a big Event or a full on week of work and just not feeling like yourself😱😭
Ive also had to navigate these changes on my own mostly and I have found there is a lack of public health information readily available in NZ for professional & business women, on how to deal with all of this, while still being expected to be productive in your business & work!
I had shared this with some of our Pacific leaders, and from these talanoa sessions, I came up with a concept - to support Pacific business, self employed and professional women from thier late 30s through AI training & a safe space to talanoa about what we are going through! Plus tips on how to manage your energy and productivity - from health professionals & women who work in this space, supporting women through this phase of life ❤
Please see information below for the AI & Womens Wellness Workshop dates and the in-person Business Networking Event details 🥰
Follow the Inailau Pacific Business Women's Network page - as we will share more details on each Workshop and also panel Speakers & topics for the Business Networking Event over the coming days.
Thank you very much to Ministry for Pacific Peoples for supporting this concept & the overall Series in support of Pacific women navigating business, self-employment & work during this stage of life🙏
And also thanks to Salā Laura Keil-Hall & The Pacific Business Hub Team for the support to roll-out this Series, and also Tracey Alenepi & Pacific Business Trust team for supporting the Business Women's Networking Event 🙏❤

Last Friday was one of those days that just filled my heart ❤️✨
Sitting in a room with business women 🤍🌺
All at different stages of their journey ✨
Some just starting with an idea 🌱
Others who have been walking in their business purpose for many years 💼✨
And watching them connect 🤝, open up 🤍, and support each other in real time so naturally…
that’s what Inailau is all about for me 💛✨
One of the ladies had a flat tyre on the way 🚗💥… but she still showed up 🙌✨
That touched me deeply 🤍
Because that’s what this business journey really looks like sometimes…
Showing up even when things aren’t perfect 💭
Even when it would be easier not to 🤍
That was my message today:
Have faith… and take action 🙏✨
Because God can’t move something that’s not moving 🤍
You don’t need to have it all figured out 💭
You just need to take the next step 💫
So grateful for every woman who attended our Inailau Coffee Connect last Friday 🙏💛✨
You reminded me again why I do this…
and why I love creating these spaces for business women to connect 🤍🌺✨

Blessed Easter my beautiful community 🤍✨
He has Risen.
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”
— Matthew 28:6 (NIV)
This season always brings me back to the heart of everything…
That no matter what we walk through in life or business —
we are never without hope.
There are moments where things feel uncertain…
where we question the path…
where we feel like we’re starting again.
But through Him, we are reminded —
we are not starting from nothing.
We are rising.
Rising with grace.
Rising with purpose.
Rising with faith.
I pray this season brings you peace, clarity, and the courage to step into all that God has called you into.
With love always,
Jackie Curry 🤍

Blessed Good Friday 🙏
Isaiah 53:5 NIV
[5] But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed ✨️

She chose herself…
and that mattered 🤍✨
Now that we’ve moved into April, I’ve finally had a moment to pause and reflect on our Inailau IWD 2026 – Women’s Wellness Experience held on 21st March 🌺
And honestly… it was one of those moments I’ll carry with me for a long time.
Not because everything was perfect…
but because of what I witnessed in the room.
This event was about creating space for women 🤍
Space to pause 🌿
to breathe 🌬
and to reconnect with themselves
Because as women in business and leadership — we give so much
and sometimes forget to give to ourselves
For me, Give to Gain means this 💫
When we choose to invest in our wellbeing, our growth and our alignment…
we gain clarity, confidence and the ability to lead and live well 🤍
Women who allowed themselves to pause 🤍
To breathe 🌿
To come back into their bodies
Something that Gerardine spoke into so beautifully —
and something I know we don’t always prioritise as women.
And I saw it…
Busy women, high-performing women, giving themselves permission to slow down.
And I know from my own journey — that’s not always easy.
What stood out for me:
✨ Watching women give themselves permission to pause
✨ Real conversations that went beyond business into real life and lived experiences
✨ Seeing how naturally wellbeing and business can coexist when we allow space for it
✨ Experiencing true holistic wellbeing — caring for our bodies, our financial wellbeing, our mindset, our confidence, and stepping into leadership in our own lives
✨ Movement as healing — reconnecting with our Polynesian dance as wellness, not just performance — beautifully led through Charlene’s dance & movement workshop 🌺
🤍 With heartfelt gratitude:
✨ Our speakers — Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone, Angela Malakai Elle Wuthrich Theresa Alaimoana Belinda Jane Elisha Tamasi & Katerina Fatupaito & Charlene Tedrow 🌺
✨ Angela & Jenny for co-hosting and coordinating the event 🤍
✨ Our sponsors — Angela Malakai, Jennifer Filomena Matano, Bluwave, The Pacific Business Hub & my amazing EverySec VA Team for all the support with admin, social media & everything else in between to prepare for the event 🙏🏽
✨ Our stallholders & businesses who gifted prizes & gift bags 🎁
✨ Aki — for the beautiful Polynesian themed speaker gifts, each thoughtfully created with personalised messages 🤍
✨ Those who travelled from outside of Auckland — Tonga Lavemaau Robertson (Hamilton), Adi Warren, Marie Roberts & Soifua Tupou (Tauranga), and Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone (Wellington) 🌏
🌺 Special acknowledgement to Marie Roberts,
& Soifua Tupou of BOP Pacific Business Women’s Network, and Teuila Maggof & Rachel Afeaki Taumoepeau for our IWD collaboration across our Regions — such a blessing to attend your events in Tauranga Moana & Waikato the week before 🤍 (photos to come)
My dear friend Jenny Henry 🤍 thank you for your love, presence and support that week — it meant so much to me ✨
To every woman who showed up - thank you 🤍
If something shifted for you…
keep going ✨

Pacific business networks are not just about networking.
They are economic development. 🌺
This International Women’s Day 2026, I want to acknowledge some incredible Pacific women who lead business networks across Aotearoa and continue creating opportunities for others.
🌺 Dame Luamanuvao Winnie Laban - Patron of Wellington Pasifika Business Network
🌺 Salā Laura Keil-Hall - Founder of The Pacific Business Hub & Samoa Business Network
🌺 Rachel Afeaki Taumoepeau - Chairwoman of Waikato Pacific Business Network
🌺 Teuila Maggof - Business Navigator for Waikato Pacific Business Network
🌺 Marie Roberts - Founder of Pacific Business Women Network BOP/ Tauranga
In Samoa we say:
“E au le ina’ilau a tamata’i.”
A way of acknowledging the hard work and perseverance of women who serve their communities.
Because true Pacific leadership comes through tautua — service.
✨You serve first
✨You contribute
✨You uplift others
Leadership is earned through action, not just strategic positioning.
In 2024, I attended an inspiring Wellington Pasifika Business Network event where Luamanuvao Winnie Laban encouraged me to keep going with Inailau and expand our vision globally. I am so grateful as her encouragement helped me persevere and continue growing Inailau. 🙏
Earlier this year I also had the privilege of connecting with Pacific women leaders across the Central-North regions of New Zealand:
🌿 Rachel & Teuila – Waikato Pacific Business Network
🌿 Marie & Soifua – Pacific Business Women’s Network BOP/ Tauranga
🌿 Salā Laura – The Pacific Business Hub (Auckland)
From these talanoa we explored collaborative IWD events and stronger cross-regional connections for Pacific business women.
I’m looking forward to supporting the Waikato and BOP/ Tauranga IWD Pacific Business Network events this week, and welcoming some of the Pacific Business women from these networks to our Inailau IWD event on 21 March. 🌺
I also want to acknowledge our Pacific brothers who champion Pacific women-led businesses across our regions. 🤝
Building strong Pacific economies requires collective leadership from both women and men.
Because when Pacific women succeed in business, the impact goes far beyond the individual.
✨ It strengthens families
✨ It strengthens communities
✨ It strengthens our future
