New strings day! Yay!
Rehearsal to night then the next two days at The Lab studio to do tracking for the four remaining tracks for new studio album.

I thought it was about time to do a post and let you know about some of the musical things happening over the next few weeks.
Lots of playing, lots of rehearsing too!

Sat Feb 28 - performing with The DeSotos at Jazz in the Park in Whakatane

Tue Mar 24 - start tracking / recording at The Lab with The DeSotos – day 1

Wed Mar 25 - recording at The Lab with The DeSotos – day 2

Sun Mar 29 - playing a private gig with The DeSotos (Auckland)

Thu Apr 2 - playing with The AGM at Freida Margolas, West Lynn

Sat Apr 4 - playing with The DeSotos at the Waiheke Jazz & Blues Festival

Sun Apr 5 - playing with The DeSotos at the Tauranga Jazz Festival

There will be lots of post production for the tracks done at the Lab in March so that is ongoing.

The band will be releasing a studio album in 2026 and I promise to keep you up to date with developments. Might even sneak a preview peek at a track!!

I'm playing with The DeSotos in Whakatane in a couple of weeks.. Saturday Feb 28th to be specific.

Looking forward to performing at the Jazz in the Park event at the Whakatane Rose Gardens.

Hello Whakatane

In just over two weeks time, we - The DeSotos, will be at your place to perform at Jazz In The Park at the Whakatane Rose Gardens on Saturday Feb 28th. We can't wait to perform for you!

The program has us on stage at 4:50pm through to 6:20pm.

Other artists performing on the day are EBOPERS Jazz and Croque Madame.

I'm playing with Richard and Paul aka The AGM on Thursday April 2nd at Frieda Margolis in West Lynn village, starting at 8pm.
Yeah, it's the Thurs of Easter weekend so if not heading out of town, come along.

I'm playing with The DeSotos in Whakatane on Saturday February 28th at the Music in the Parks event at the Whakatane Rose Gardens.
Thee bands performing from 3pm till 8pm.
