Out checking the course for our next race in the Run Auckland Series and Half at Te Atatu Peninsula. So good to be back running after a year and a half out with injury, thanks to The Athlete's Foot New Zealand for fitting us in the right running shoes, to Steff from Go Run Guys for helping build up the strength and kms and the Brad and Karen from Peak Pilates & Physiotherapy - Millwater for helping in my recovery.

I want to share this post from a dear friend and runner who, has put together a book that tells 18 stories of some remarkable women on their Running/walking journey including her own.

Well done again all those that took part in Sundays event at Ambury Farm, Mangere, for the first race in the Run Auckland Series and Half Marathon. I just wanted to post again that I will email out regarding all the spot prize winners list we did on Sunday after the event.

I would also like to give a shout out to our partners that turned up at 6am to set up and sat in their cars waiting to see if the weather calmed down and I would allow them to set up there stands, before each of them left they all gave us a spot prize for the event, so please go visit their pages and give them a like and have a look at what they offer

Just a quick post on behalf of the rego team today. I really wanted to acknowledge everyone for being so incredibly patient today. We know it must have been hard waiting in the cold and yet 99.9% of people were super gracious and understanding which we were grateful for. Thanks for all the offers of help, biscuit deliveries (Kerry Attwood) and all round good humour despite the conditions. We are on but it is VERY windy!!! We are set up at Ambury Park but have a very reduced village due to the wind (wind and gazebos don’t mix very well!).

PLEASE be patient with us at Rego as we compete with the elements today!

We will do spot prize draw online after the event so no need to hang about after your event (unless you want to of course).

IMPORTANT NOTICE for Run Auckland SERIES entrants re: event shirts

We have had a lots of series entrants this year – that is AWESOME!
The down side is that we had to order our event shirts back in January and so we will be short on some sizes.

To manage this we have ordered another batch. They are estimated to arrive by Race 3.
What this means?

a) If you entered in the last two weeks, we will not be able to give you your event shirt when you pick up your race pack tomorrow. Be assured, you will still get a shirt! BUT you will need to be patient and wait until the next batch arrives.

b) If you ordered a Large Female shirt – we had a glitch in the system which means demand exceeds resource! Again, please be assured, you will still get a shirt. You just may need to be patient and wait until the next batch arrives to get your preferred size.

c) We will do our best to accommodate everyone else. If you don’t get your preferred size, then you are welcome to wait until the next batch arrives to collect your shirt. OR, if you have not worn your shirt, we will be happy to exchange it when we have more sizes in.
