Ko Te Rarawa raua ko Ngāpuhi, ko Ngati Hine, ko Ngati Kuri ōku iwi
I’ve created this page to share a bit of matauranga in relation to whakapapa research, as well as documenting my own personal journey

Wowww it’s been a while, sorry whānau! But I’m back haha.
After doing a lot of urupā visits over Christmas, I thought this one would be a nice easy way to get back into the tips! 🌼

Well I’m finally back at mahi after having 6 months off on maternity leave. My pēpi Koa is joining me in the office for the rest of the year! It might be a bit of a struggle at first, but so nice to be back working with our whakapapa and tūpuna 🤎 I’ll try my best to keep up the posts! But to help me out a bit 😅 let me know in the comments or DMs what you’d love some help with!

Whakapapa is something that your kids are never too young to start learning! These are a few of my favourite ways 💕 How do you teach your tamariki their whakapapa?

A few ways to get past that super tricky person in your whakapapa! I’ll post a few more ways in the future, but if these still can’t help, sometimes time is the best thing to give to your “dead end”. New information pops up all the time so don’t give up hope! 🌿

It’s been a while since I’ve popped up a monthly goal! This one is a fun one, because whakapapa research is about more than just dates and names. Any little bit of information you find about an ancestor is special because it personalises them for you, and helps you connect with and love them just that little bit extra ♥️
